BLACKPINK's "Boombayah" MV Becomes first-ever Debut Video to Achieve 700M Views

Boombayah was released on August 8, 2016, meaning that it only took the official video to reach the milestone three years, one month, two days, and 23 hours after its release.

Just last Monday, September 9, the quartet's - composed of Jennie, Lisa, Jennie, and Rosé - official YouTube account became the most-subscribed channel, surpassing One Direction who was formerly the holder of the title. BLACKPINK now has amassed a total of 29,956,396 subscribers on the video streaming site.

It's also worth mentioning that the girl group also surpassed the British pop boy band's number of followers on Instagram. Also, one of the members, Lisa, who's the main dancer and the maknae, is currently the most-followed celebrity in South Korea.

While there isn't much going on with the group, fret not as they are probably preparing something for their dearest Blinks. As a matter of fact, Rosé earlier confirmed that she's preparing her solo.

"And I know that a lot of you guys are very, very curious about how much I have prepared with my solo...and I'm so happy that you guys are like that. I'm working on it all the time," she said during an Instagram Live.

The singer added that while her solo will materialize, the release date of her solo is still unclear. But don't worry because she's taking this time to polish her work towards perfection.

"The question about when it is, I cannot say yet I think. I don't know if you guys know me very well but...I want it to be perfect and I want it to be a certain way. I'm very strict on that stuff because it means a lot to me and I know you guys respect that about my personality. I know that it's taking a long time but please trust me on that," she said.

"'Perfect' doesn't mean just the song itself, it also means timing. There is a right time for everything," she went on.

However, the announcement drew mixed reactions from fans online. There were cynical about it, saying that her agency has a track record of being not the best in releasing music on time.

A fan tweeted, "Rosé confirmed she is working on her solo every day, that she is really excited about it and most importantly, that she has full control over it. I'm gonna cry."

Nonetheless, some still took Rosé's words for it. One fan posted, "Call me a clown but I trust Rosé on this one. I see some of y'all saying that she was forced to say all this just so we could stop but I believe her. Time is everything. Didn't Jennie say that she was working for about a year on solo? You could even see her excitement, it's coming."
