In the downloads category, three new singles have been certified platinum for exceeding 2.5 million downloads on major Korean music platforms - IU's "BBIBBI," TWICE's "Dance The Night Away" and Ben's "Love, ing."
IU's "BBIBBI" has previously earned 'Platinum' certification on May 9 this year, 2019, in the streaming criteria, while TWICE's "Dance The Night Away" got the same award last March.
TWICE's 'Platinum' certification for "Dance The Night Away" in the download category marks as the group's sixth entry on Gaon overall to achieve such milestone, following Fancy, Yes or Yes, and What is Love. And as for IU, it is her second time to be awarded "BBIBBI."
In streaming, singles including Kim Chungha's "Gotta Go," Kassy's "The Day Was Beautiful," Anne Marie's "2002," and Shin Yong Jae's "Haeun" attained 'Platinum' certifications for achieving 100 million streams.
Kassy and Shin Yong Jae's singles are their first entries on Gaon to get the certification, while it is Kim Chungha's third time as her track "Roller Coaster" obtained the same recognition in the streaming last December 2018 and in the download section this July 2019.
Meanwhile, joining the 'Double Platinum' category for having more than 500,000 albums sold are EXO's Baekhyun with "City Lights" and Kang Daniel with "Color on Me." Apart from them, EXO-SC's "What a Life" and NCT Dream's "We Boom" have also been included as 'Platinum' certified, for reaching over 250,000 sales.
Artists who previously earned 'Double Platinum' in the album sales criteria are WANNA ONE with "Undivided" and "Power of Destiny," EXO's "Love Shot," and BTS's "BTS World OST."
As of September 12, the top five for the download chart weekly ranking on Gaon is: (1) Wheein's "Goodbye," (2) Kassy's "Story of Night Fall," (3) Paul Kim's "So Long," (4) Gummy's "Remember Me," and (5) Sunmi's "LALALAY."
For the streaming chart weekly ranking is: (1) Paul Kim's "So Long," (2) Gummy's "Remember Me," (3) Maktub's "To You My Light" featuring Lee Raon, (4) Taeyeon's "All About You," and (5) Punch's "Done For Me."
Lastly, for the album chart weekly ranking: (1) X1's Quantum Leap," (2) The Boyz' "DreamLike," (3) TWICE's "Summer Nights," (4) Wheein's "Soar," and (5) TWICE's "Yes or Yes."
