To show their gratitude to Filipino fans, South Korean girl group Momoland has something for the Filipino kids.
Moreover, according to the groups' management company, they have been searching for an excellent opportunity to return the favor to the Filipino community for the continued support and warm acceptance they have been receiving from the fans. MLD further stated that this is not just a one-time charity event, but they are planning to hold one every year.
The charity act will happen on October 25. It will be organized by MLD Entertainment and MIRAEAN SMART CITY, which is a sponsor of "Good Friends in Manila."
MOMOLAND rose to fame with its hit song "Bboom Bboom," which was released in January 2018. Because of its catchy melody and easy-to-follow dance steps, the track eventually became so popular, particularly in the Philippines with Filipinos of all ages dancing to the song.
The group soon launched another hit single titled "Baam" in June 2018. The song captured the hearts of the Filipino fans more after seeing MOMOLAND member Nancy holding the Philippine flag in the song's music video.
On another note, this is not the first time MOMOLAND would be giving donations. Last June 2018, the group held a showcase called "2018 MOMOLAND Comeback Show-Con." The event gained 5,000 KRW, and MOMOLAND gave an additional 5,000 KRW. A representative from the label stated that the money will be donated and used for the medical treatment of the children who were hurt in car accidents. This is the way of the girls to give back the love and support they receive from the fans.
This proves that MOMOLAND members are not only beautiful outside but also inside.
Meanwhile, joining MOMOLAND in the upcoming concert in the Philippines are Kim Jaehwan and Ha Sungwoon, who are former members of the disbanded K-pop boy group WANNA ONE.
"Good Friends in Manila" will take place this coming October 5 at 6 p.m. (PHT) at the Smart Arena Coliseum. Tickets can now be purchased in all Ticketnet outlets nationwide and online via www.ticketnet.com.ph.
