Blake Shelton Benefit Concert for Tornado Victims: A Native of Oklahoma, The Voice Coach Plans to Give Back

Blake Shelton benefit concert for the victims of the Oklahoma Tornado is already on the works.

One of the best judges/coaches in the hit reality singing competition, The Voice, proves that he is not only a good country singer and coach to aspiring singer artists but he also have a good heart to give back to the people greatly devastated by the tornado that recently hit  the suburbs of Moore, Oklahoma.

About the Blake Shelton benefit concert, The Voice coach told Billboard after the show's Tuesday episode that he will have more information about the show he is planning in the next 24 hours and that it will be put up to "raise a lot of money." Shelton further said that the benefit show will be televised and will happen very fast. "I can call in some really big favors," Shelton told as he points out to Usher, a fellow coach of the Voice.

Blake Shelton feels very close to Oklahoma as he is a native of the state, specifically in Ada. This is why hearing about the tornado hit that happened in Moore which is just north of Ada, had a huge impact on him. Furthermore, her sister lived in Moore before. Blake Shelton wholeheartedly shared,

"I spent three Christmases at my sister's house in Moore, Oklahoma, and some of those helicopter views of the destruction, you could see her house a quarter of a mile away from there. My nieces and nephews would have gone to that school (Plaza Towers Elementary), and when you start putting it in that sort of perspective, and then thinking, 'Oh my God, I am so glad that they recently moved away from that area.' And then you go, 'What about all those people that didn't?' It's hard to put into words, honestly."

This is why the highly-awarded country singer is not sitting still after this catastrophe. Right now, he is already busy planning for the Blake Shelton benefit concert to help the victims and survivors of the massive Oklahoma tornado.
