Trump 2016? Donald Trump Spends $1 Million To Become Next Potential President After Obama

Trump 2016? Donald Trump, Republican and reality TV star, is considering running for president in 2016 and has reportedly spent $1 million conducting research related to the presidential election.

Although already toyed with the idea of running for the Republican presidential nomination in 2000 and 2012, Trump may once again run for the White House in 2016.

If Trump is indeed nominated as the Republican candidate and wins the presidential election in 2016, he would be the next president after Obama.

Trump has delivered a speech in March at the Conservative Political Action Conference, which is a critical event for Republican presidential hopefuls to attend.

At the Michigan Republican Party Lincoln Day Dinner last week, Trump speaks about his followers' anticipation for his 2016 election run.

Trump said to the attendees of the dinner, "Everybody tells me, 'Please run for president. Please run for president.'"

However, Trump, who will turn 67 years old in June, also remained humbled by saying, "I would be much happier if a great and competent person came along. I'm a Republican, but before anything, I love this country. I would love to see somebody come in who is going to be great."

According to the NY Post, Trump spent a total of $1 million while exploring running for presidential office in 2016.

However, Michael Cohen, Trump's special counsel, said that Trump's decision to run for the 2016 election has not yet been confirmed.

Cohen explained, "The electoral research was commissioned. We did not spend $1 million on this research for it just to sit on my bookshelf...At this point Mr. Trump has not made any decision on a political run, but what I would say is that he is exactly what this country needs."

Nonetheless, Cohen affirms the potential of Trump becoming the next president after Obama by saying,
"The turnout at these political speeches indicates his following remains very strong and is growing."
