Recently, social media faced chaos and worries following the report and articles saying that a stalker is threatening TWICE member Nayeon. According to the report, a foreigner is reportedly stalking Nayeon under the delusion that he is dating her (Nayeon is already his girlfriend). Meanwhile, this stalker has once again updated on his social media account to answer this controversy.
In a video statement posted on December 21, Josh mentioned that fans and other people are trying to befriend him to gain access to his plans and additional information and were threatening to harm him and his family, however, he still begged for anyone who can help him to reach and communicate with Nayeon and get in touch with him.
In his new updated series of tweets as well, he once again reiterates that he is seeking someone from within the Korean community to tell Nayeon his information and personality. Before eventually revealing that he'll be staying in Korea for a long time in hopes that Nayeon will find out and know about him ultimately.
On the other hand, JYP Entertainment has hinted at a hardline response to the group TWICE's stalker. JYP said on its official SNS on Wednesday that it has completed a request for personal protection from the local police station and is currently taking action, adding that it is still reviewing all available legal measures and plans to take the maximum level of action as soon as the review is completed.
"We have informed you that we are now under investigation for the production and distribution of malicious rumours. As soon as the final ruling comes out, we will also tell you that we are preparing to proceed with a civil action against those who will be charged," the company said.
JYP stressed, "I repeat that we will continue to take all possible stern measures without any prior cause."
JYP Entertainment has even shared their side on this issue. Just as what they had mentioned, regarding the progress of the fan's response to the groundbreaking stalking issue, people will be notified to your local police station that the measures are currently in operation for your neighbourhood and Cheongdam area. Also, security measures are underway for the entire schedule.
The agency is still reviewing all available legal actions and plans to proceed with the maximum number of activities as soon as the review is completed.
As soon as the final decision of the relevant agency is made, the agency is preparing to proceed with a civil action against the object of complaint. And so, they are asking for a lot of information from the group's fans and promised to do their best as an agency for the artist's healthy activities.
If the stalker initiates a conversation with you online or in-person during his search for Nayeon, you should contact fan@jype.com with any helpful information so they might pass it on to the proper authorities for investigation.
