Nayeon of the famous Girl group TWICE has visited Hawaii and was recently featured in a photoshoot for Cosmopolitan Korea's March issue. Flaunting her eye-catching outfits and stunning projections, she showed us her gifted beauty.
Aside from the pictorial that she did gracefully, TWICE's Nayeon also shared some of her thoughts through an interview with Cosmopolitan Korea. She opened up how the past year was for her, and how she conquered the challenges that came to her, lastly how she and her life has changed after debuting as an Idol.
Nayeon told the popular fashion magazine how 2019 is the most relaxing year for the TWICE. According to her, she was able to give more time for herself last year. She also shared that the world tour and meeting with the fans globally was one of the most memorable moments for her.
"Since our group debuted as TWICE, I had the feeling that I hadn't rested for a day, but last year I was free and capable to breathe because I had a lot of time for myself. The most unforgettable thing for me is our World Tour in 2019 because I met all our fans from all around the globe and everything was so loud that I can't even hear my voice even if I'm wearing the in-ear. It is amazing to realize K-pop's fame reached people globally."
When asked about what are the changes that she has to overcome after six years of being an Idol, she admitted that she didn't think she had the freedom, especially when she was starting as a trainee. But now, she felt like she can express herself more comfortably to the people around her.
"I did not think I can do things freely on my own even when I was a trainee or from the start of my debut, now I can address myself broadly and genuinely."
Despite not having enough freedom Nayeon also opened up how she is happy and contented with the life she is living now.
"Then, I thought about it once again. I'm not the type of person who thinks like I have to do this for the future or I should live like this person. But I just like myself and I am delighted for what I have now. I really like who I am and I am grateful for all the small things rather than big ones."
As for how she was handling the difficult moments, she shared how frustrated and scared she was for being well-known, referring to her experience of being stalked.
"At first I thought it was okay to be noticed and known by a lot of people. You worked hard on your way to the top, practiced hard, debuted hard. But as more and more appearance you make people are getting overly interested. It's frustrating and scary when I have to walk on the ground."
After sharing her thoughts, Nayeon remained a strong woman and she will continue to become stronger than she has ever been. She also told Cosmopolitan how she handled the crucial times and how she got back on her feet.
"Whenever I face a difficult time, I always clear my mind because no good will come out of it. There are things that did not work out for me and when things happen unexpectedly I sometimes break down. When trouble comes, I tend to empty my head by distracting myself. I like watching YouTube videos, listening to music and monitoring. The more you don't think about it, it is easier."
The beautiful Idol talked about her plans for this year 2020 hoping that despite the busy schedules of her group TWICE and herself she could still give more time for her own and hoped to wake up without having to set an alarm.
