Mayim Bialik’s divorce has been finalized. The “Big Bang Theory” actress is married no more, ending her nine-year marriage with Michael Stone late last week. She has signed off the documents to divide their Los Angeles-area property evenly.

In November, the former “Blossom” child star officially filed the papers to start the separation process from Stone and posted about the “terribly sad” decision on the Official Mayim Bialik blog at Kveller.

“After much consideration and soul-searching, Michael and I have arrived at the decision to divorce due to ‘Irreconcilable Differences,’” wrote Mayim.” Divorce is terribly sad, painful and incomprehensible for children. It is not something we have decided lightly.”

Mayim, who is an advocate of the controversial attachment parenting method was quick to clarify that her style of raising her children had nothing to do with the divorce.

She wrote, “The hands-on style of parenting we practice played no role in the changes that led to this decision; relationships are complicated no matter what style of parenting you choose.”

Mayim Bialik caused some controversy in 2011 when she revealed that she still breastfed her 3-year-old son. The actress put an end to breastfeeding her son Fred, but it wasn’t until he was 4-years-old.

Attachment parenting involves extended breastfeeding, potty training without diapers, and natural birth among other things.

The couple have two young sons together - Miles, 7, and Fred, 4.

According to TMZ, the 37-year-old actress will take the couple’s 1,400-square-foot, one-bedroom apartment in Studio City, while Stone, will take their 1,300-square-foot three-bedroom home in Sherman Oaks, Calif.
