Barbara Eden Jeannie: 78-Year-Old Actress Tweets Photo Donning Her ‘I Dream Of Jeannie’ Costume, Eden’s Belly Button Censored During The Sitcom

Barbara Eden dons her Jeannie costume at age 78, yet she still looks fabulous.

Everybody was surprised and stunned when they saw Barbara Eden wearing her iconic costume in her show titled "I Dream of Jeannie" during the Life Ball held in Vienna last weekend, as she still looks as gorgeous as she was on her TV series almost 40 years ago.

Barbara Eden tweeted a photo of herself during the Saturday event while wearing the costume - in pink veil, harem pants and bra top. She captioned her photo with a tweet, "Here it is folks! The navel that put NBC on edge! Barbara Eden, Sat. night at the Life Ball!"

The Life Ball event was attended by prestigious personalities such as actress Carmen Electra and former U.S. President Bill Clinton.

The show, "I Dream of Jeannie", ran for almost 5 years, from 1965 to 1970. It was a story of a 2000 year old beautiful genie, Barbara Eden 'Jeannie' who fell in love with an American astronaut, as played by the late Larry Hagman. The setting of the story was in modern-day Florida.

When the show was still airing, the NBC network experts for censorship required Barbara Eden to hide her belly button.

Despite her age, the star of the sitcom "I Dream of Jeannie" still fits perfectly into her sexy genie costume. Her attire did fit perfectly with the theme of the Life Ball event in Vienna which was 'Tales of 1001 Nights'.

Meanwhile, if there's a genie, there should also be a bottle right? Who has got the Barbara Eden Jeannie bottle, then?

There were many versions of the bottle used during the production of the show, but reportedly, Barbara Eden got to keep one of the color stunt bottles used during the last filming day for the final episode of the sitcom, which was given to her by her make-up artist while the show was on break.
