Keith Urban Collaborates With Taylor Swift's Producer For Upcoming Album 'Fuse' [VIDEO]

Keith Urban may be waiting to hear news from "American Idol," but he's got a new album coming out to tide him over.

Urban's latest effort "Fuse" sees the county singer branching out with new collaborators, including Nathan Chapman, a longtime producer for Taylor Swift.

"It's just been really creatively liberating to me," says Urban according to ABC News.

"I love collaborating. It's the thing I've always loved doing, whether it's writing or performing or being in the studio, I love the collaborative process. I think finding people's strengths is the thing I love the most."

Grammy Award-winning Chapman, famous for producing all of 23-year-old Taylor Swift's albums to date, is one of several collaborators on "Fuse," set to release September 10.

Urban's first single from the album, "Little Bit of Everything," credits Chapman as the producer, programmer, as well as the ukulele player, according to Chapman's official website.

Fans might hear some of the new material once the 45-year-old husband of Nicole Kidman hits the road for his "Light the Fuse" world tour in July, says USA Today.

"Because we hit the road in July and the record doesn't come until September, I'm not sure how many new songs people want to hear," he says. "I certainly don't want to hear too many when I go to somebody's concert."

Other producers Urban has enlisted to add "diversity" to the album include Little Big Town producer Jay Joyce, rocker Butch Walker, and Urban's long-time partner Dann Huff.

"I'm just seeing what comes out of me working with those guys," explains the singer.

"I love working with people who play a lot of instruments, and all these guys play lots of instruments and they program and play synths and they can build an entire track just on their own. I love the idea of working close and collaboratively with people like that so we can work quickly and we cannot have to try and get this vision across to six, seven, eight different people in the studio."
