Former Wonder Girls' Hyerim Joins Yubin's 'RRR' Agency

Former Wonder Girls members reunited under the same and new agency. It was on February 18, when Yubin established her own talent agency, named RRR Entertainment.

On Tuesday, March 10, Yubin shared that after Hyerim's contract with JYP Entertainment ended, she had been discussing with her about the possibility of joining her in her company.

"Because of the trust in our agency and in our CEO artist Yubin, as well as the shared ambitions and goals we have come to an agreement of officially signing an exclusive contract with artist Hyerim," Yubin said.

"With that, as of March 10, we are officially announcing her as our new artist. We are aiming to show Hyerim's desire to show the public the different range of her talents and of course to become a 'reality'," she added.

Yubin also expressed her gratitude to those who continuously support Hyerim.

"We will start on focusing on her promotions and we guarantee her that she will receive our full support. We thank all of her fans for the undying love and support. We ask them to continue giving love, support, and attention to Hyerim's journey on her new agency as an artist," she said.

It was on January 28, when Yubin and Hyerim's former agency released their official statement about the duo's departure.

"This is an official statement regarding the contract expiration of artists Yubin and Hyerim, which happened on January 25. We have seriously discussed the matter of renewing their contracts but came to a mutual agreement to officially end their journey as JYP Entertainment artists," an excerpt from JYPE stated.

"Yubin and Hyerim were both former Wonder Girls members when they started working under our management, and both debuted in the same group from 2007 to 2010. In the following years, Yubin and Hyerim renewed their contracts in 2017 and both continued their careers. Yubin has continued to be a promoting artist representing our agency JYP Entertainment for 13 years, while Hyerim in her time showcased her talents in music and as an MC," the company added.

"The former girl group Wonder Girls have contributed to the history of K-pop as they sail the charts of U.S Music charts abroad. Their album "Nobody" made it to the Billboard's Hot 100 raking No.76," the statement went on.

JYPE, nonetheless, remained thankful for the two.

"We in JYP Entertainment are truly grateful for their hardships and efforts. Yubin and Hyerim's career path toward success became the foundation of our company and contributed to our growth and prospering. The footsteps they have left with us were the possible remarks that they have been forever indebted by the constant love and support from their fans and to those people who helped them reach their goals and dreams," JYPE stated.

Before concluding the statement, the agency sent their support to the two.

"We would like to send our love and support to both of the artists as they fly to take on a different path and take different challenges," the statement said.
