Stray Kids member Bang Chan recently held a live stream and addressed the topic of making errors, which prompted many fans to believe that he was possibly referring to their former Woojin co-star.
He began his speech by reminding his audience that it's natural for people to make mistakes, and that's all right. Yet after a moment of what seemed to be hesitating, he continued talking and added something else to his voice.
"I know a guy who had to learn his lesson in a hard way because of making a lot of mistakes and those mistakes had a huge effect on the people around him. So, if you make promises with a team of other people, you need to be responsible enough to be a man of your words and keep those promises." He concluded that' promises' should be kept and that you will always make it up to those promises. Failing to keep your word leads to deceit and selfishness. Bang Chan told people to stop this kind of behavior, and STAYs know what he's talking about."
Quoting his words, "The STAYs know what I'm talking about," led the fans to insinuate that he was referring to the errors of their fellow Woojin and the selfish actions that led him to be expelled from the group.
Of course, because he didn't mention Woojin explicitly-for obvious reasons-it can't be verified that he was thinking about. After the former member was abruptly pulled out of Stray Kids in October 2019 without notice, fans have been left baffled and scratching their heads, so any hint as to what might have been the explanation is much appreciated.
It was in October 2019 that their co-member Woojin left their band, which also postponed the release of their mini-album entitled "Cle: LEVANTER" which is expected to be on the music charts on November 25 but was moved on December 9, 2019.
Their management JYP Entertainment has released their official statement about their artist Woojin's departure from his group STRAY KIDS.
"Hello, this is JYP Entertainment,
Woojin has formally agreed to leave the group because of personal issues and has already terminated his exclusive agreement with us.
With the sudden news, we apologize for causing trouble to many fans.
As an outcome, the Stray Kids mini-album "Clé: LEVANTER," due to be released on November 25, will be postponed to December 9.
Once again we apologize to the fans who have long been waiting.
We are calling for a great deal of help for Woojin, who is moving on a new journey and we are also calling for STAY's warm support for the eight Stray Kids members who are going back with their compass on the route to their dreams.
Thank you."
His team members quickly acted after Bang Chan's Livestream speech to stop him from broadcasting, hopefully, more details will come to light in the future.
