Former 'Blossom' Star Mayim Bialik Divorces Husband Michael Stone After He Converts To Judaism For Her

Former "Blossom" star Mayim Bialik finalized her divorce from husband Michael Stone last week, despite the fact that he converted to Judaism for her before their marriage.

Stone, originally of Mormon faith, was married to "The Big Bang Theory" actress for nine years and swapped his beliefs to comply with Bialik's Judaic traditions involving marriage.

The former couple signed off on documents last week that partitioned their California properties, leaving 37-year old Bialik with their 1,400-square-foot, one-bedroom apartment in Studio City and Stone with their 1,300-square-foot, three-bedroom house in Sherman Oaks, according to TMZ.

The pair announced their divorce in November.

"After much consideration and soul-searching, Michael and I have arrived at the decision to divorce due to 'Irreconcilable Differences,'" Bialik said in a blog post on Kveller, a Jewish parenting website. "It is not something we have decided lightly."

Bialik emphasized in her announcement that her decision to raise her two children using the controversial attachment method - a parenting style that develops a child's emotional security by prolonging certain behaviors, like breastfeeding - did not play a role in their decision to divorce.

The actress revealed on Kveller in February that she stopped breastfeeding her son Fred at the age of four. Bialik has penned several books on parenting and holds a Ph.D. in neuroscience.

"The hands-on style of parenting we practice played no role in the changes that led to this decision; relationships are complicated no matter what style of parenting you choose," Bialik announced on Kveller. "We will be ok."

Bialik does not have any immediate plans of reentering the dating scene, according to Us Magazine.
