We Cast The New Hillary Rodham Clinton Movie 'Rodham' Set To Release Before Her 2016 Presidential Run [Pics]

There's a new biopic of Hillary Rodham Clinton set to hit screens before her predicted run for President in 2016.

The film is called Rodham and we thought we'd offer five actresses who could best channel the former Secretary of State and First Lady.

The news of the film came out in April, but there have already been a list of actresses that have been listed in connection with the feature from James Ponsoldt.

So far, the contenders for Rodham have been bandied about by USA Today and a host of other outlets. Right now the four frontrunners for the role of a younger Hillary areJessica Chastain, Reese Witherspoon, Scarlett Johansson and Amanda Seyfried.

We'll add one more to make it an even five nominees to play the former senator of New York.

Jessica Chastain has to be included after he Academy Award nominated role as the CIA mole who found the world's number 1 at-large terrorist, Osama Bin Laden.

We're talking about the oscar nominated film, Zero Dark Thirty of course, and Chastain's icy brilliance as CIA operative Maya, would fit in nicely with Clinton's supposedly icy disposition in the world of politics.

But the role is for a younger, and less battle-tested Hillary, one who goes by the surname of Rodham and hasn't been attached to the Arkansas governor who won the White House in 1992, hence the title of the feature.

Reese Witherspoon is in contention because she's actually won an academy award, even if she's largely known as a romantic comedy foil or the former wife of Ryan Phillipe.

Obviously, Hillary, has also been known as the wife of somebody equally as famous, but Reese might be better for HIllary's more convivial childhood, one not marked by White House scandal.

Whether she has the chops to show the future toughness of Hillary Rodham Clinton, can best be answered by her portrayal of Johnny Cash's wife in Walk the Line where she as excellent as tough-as-nails June Cash.

Scarlett Johannson might be a little too pretty for this role, unless she wants to try a Monster like transformation like Charlize Theron.

But the Black Widow in the Marvel movies, and the Woody Allen muse in Vickie Christina Barcelona might have the requsiite performance to shadow a younger and more vivacious young Hillary Rodham.  We know Bill would like this pick.

Amanda Seyfried did get her musical skills put to the test in Les Misérables, but Hillary isn't a song and dance lady, she's an astute political mind, and one of the largest reasons her husband Bill won the White House in 1992 and regained the position in 1996.

But Seyfried might be able to play a tortured younger Hillary Rodham with prognostications of greatness possibly waylaid by her boyfriend in the movie, Bill Clinton.

Madonna might be a punchline when it comes to acting, but she did play former Argentina dictator Eva Peron to perfection, even if it was a song-and-dance number with Antonio Banderas and she was 15 years younger.

However, we can picture Madonna donning enough makeup to be a believable younger Hillary Rodham who has the toughess to survive her future husband's infidelities and actually rise to more power despite them. Doesn't that just sound like Madonna anyway.

Who do you think should play a younger Hillary Rodham Clinton in the just-announced biopic: Rodham?
