"You've probably been really disappointed by me for a long time. I can't just ignore the damage I've done, and I understand that. WONHO SIGNS TO HIS NEW AGENCY HIGHLINE ENTERTAINMENT

Highline Entertainment reported on April 10, "We have previously signed an exclusive agreement with Wonho." The agency clarified that it would promote him as a solo artist and producer.

Wonho added, "I'm reflecting deeply on past ignorant and thoughtless acts. I'm very grateful to those fans who gave me this chance, and I'm going to do my best to return the love you gave me."

Highline Entertainment said, "We are going to give Wonho our unwavering support as he starts his activities as a solo artist."

WONHO's DEPARTURE FROM MONSTA X

Wonho departed the band in the middle of a series of allegations regarding his past transgressions on social media.

"After a lengthy conversation with Monsta X's member Wonho, we decided that at this stage it's better to separate ways peacefully," reads a statement from Starship, released on the company's official Twitter account.

"We greatly value the final choice of Wonho who decides to make sure that the latest sequence of events is not diverted from all the wonderful things that are happening for Monsta X now and what is to come in the future."

The agency also said it would proceed to "bear legal responsibility for false and misleading statements related to this issue," pointing to a series of allegations made against Wonho by associates regarding incidents that happened prior to his tenure in Monsta X; the band released their first single "Trespass" in 2015. Starship previously refuted the false claims and stated that it would pursue legal action."

"Being elevated as a member of MONSTA X, I have got undeserving good wishes and support," he wrote, "I deeply thank you for giving me beautiful memories. I would like to tell the members who have worked hard with me and stood with me that I am grateful, and I appreciate them. [I would also like to give them] my heart deepest apologies."

He also addressed the allegations in the letter and requested the people continue helping and supporting Monsta X. "There was a moment when I was naive and created major and minor mistakes, but after being a trainee and having my debut, I remained on path and worked hard to stop being embarrassed of myself." He then disclosed his departure, apologizing to his band's co-members and disappointed fans, reminding people to help Monsta X and to distance himself from the group.
