Mina of Gugudan has spoken out against unhealthy diets and expressed her worries about her younger fans. She decided to open up about the exact reason why she previously revealed her drastic dietary steps during her recent Instagram Live.
She said, "I mentioned my sparkling water diet because I learned from my experience that it's extremely bad for you. I didn't want you people to follow my process because I'm really frustrated at any time whenever somebody sent me a DM asking if she can lose weight the same as me if she just drinks sparkling water."
She added, "If you have a job like mine, it's wasteful. I don't believe being slim was the only thing to be attractive."
When someone said, "But I always think it's better to be slim," to which she replied, "Then you do."
Online users are currently backing Mina's assertions. Some of the responses stated, "What was that woman thinking? Everything Mina has said is completely real."
"I know she was under tremendous pressure to lose weight on Produce 101 because of her smaller colleagues. I'm cheering for her."
"I'm delighted she's talking about body acceptance and positivity."
Several K-pop artists have been keeping their body figures and even tried dangerous dietary plans just to maintain their body shape and appearance free from hate and lewd comments from the society of unreasonable standards.
These idols have also tried extreme and strict diets and incredibly lost weight in just a month.
Ex-SISTAR's Soyou
Soyou lost 8 kg after a "one-meal-a-day" plan. Her meal usually consists of a glass of milk and four quail eggs (without including the yolk). Soyou also had an intensive workout regimen while on a diet (yoga, weight training, cardio, choreography rehearsals), which burnt much more calorie intake relative to her average intake of calories. The Gain of Brown Eyed Girls and ex-SECRET member Hyosung adopted the same diet, too.
IU
The singer went on a diet consisting of an apple for breakfast, a sweet potato for lunch, and a protein drink for dinner. Most fans are seriously concerned about consuming too little of her.
BTS's JIMIN
Jimin pursued a strict diet throughout the "Blood Sweat & Tears" period of BTS, which made him pass out during dance rehearsals. Over this time, he lost 15 pounds more. Jimin has primarily pursued other diets throughout his career, some that included spending days without food or without eating.
BIGBANG's T.O.P
T.O.P was undoubtedly going through one of the most notable transitions in K-Pop. In just 40 days, he'd shed 20 kg. He only drank water for a full week and consumed yanggaeng, a sweet jelly made from red beans. Massive amounts of exercise have enabled him to lose weight before making his debut in the K-pop Industry.
Ex-SISTAR's DASOM
Dasom announced she was going on a "one-food diet" and was only eating cucumbers to drop 10 kg in 3 weeks. Although it can be beneficial for your health to go on a raw fruit/vegetable ride, it is only encouraged for a short period.
