The former MONSTA X member has signed a contract with Maverick Management, as per the tweet of the company on its official account on May 6.
Maverick wrote, "Welcome to the #MaverickFamily @official__wonho."
As of press time, the story has over 20.3k hearts, 8.7k retweets, and numerous comments from fans.
Maverick is a California-based management that is known for elite talents, such as Miley Cyrus, Aerosmith, Lil Nas X, The Weeknd, Madonna, and many more. They specialize in promoting rock, pop, hip-hop, country, and R&B music.
Recalling, Wonho's former group signed an agreement with his new label for their 2019 U.S. promotions. Due to this, his fans have expressed their joy over this new milestone in his career that he is partaking after he cleared his name from a controversial case. Fans also shared their gratefulness all over social media.
"Congratulations, Wonho! This is just the beginning," said one fan on the said thread.
"This looks amazing! You have 7 treasures! Monbebe will work hard for them 7," said one fan.
In April, the K-pop idol announced his contract as a solo artist with Highline Entertainment, an ancillary of his former agency, Starship Entertainment. Starship also released a statement to support the artist's future endeavors.
On March 24, Starship revealed in an official statement that Wonho is innocent of the allegations hurled against him. The allegations were made last year, claiming that Wonho was involved in a drug scandal, and this prompted him to leave his group.
Wonho and the remaining MONSTA X members faced criticisms from OT6 MONBEBEs, who dislike the idea of them coming back together. Hyungwon had to apologize to fans on the boy band's official fan café in March after they were seen having a meal together with the former member.
"First of all, I want to say that I am sorry to Monbebe. I think the reason is because we are lacking. And recently, the situation is not good in many ways these days, even though we always show our best side, we who are not good enough, would feel sorry and I want to apologize for the things we didn't do," he said.
Announcements regarding his upcoming projects are yet to be made. Tune in for more updates.
