For this month, the Korean Business Research Institute finally revealed the ranking of the K-pop male groups, making BTS, ASTRO, and EXO as the leading bands.
The said rankings are based through a thorough analysis of the consumers, media inclusion, collaboration, and network records of different boy bands, utilizing huge information gathered from April 9 to May 9.
BTS topped the rankings for the 24th continuous month, with a brand reputation index of 8,802,820 for May, which means the K-pop group has been consistently unbreakable on the number spot for the last two years.
The boy band's "documentaries," "photobook," and "IU" have mainly contributed to their overall ranking on the said result. On the other hand, their highest-ranking associated terms included "speech," "communicate," and "cancel." A score of 72.90 percent positive reactions for the positivity-negativity analysis is revealed too.
The second spot goes to ASTRO with an increase of 185.71 percent brand reputation since the previous month. For the month of May, the boy band's total index is 2,836,195. The group unveiled their new album, "GATEWAY," on May 4, as well as their music video for their title track "Knock."
Meanwhile, EXO, which is on the 3rd row of the ranking, is too close to the second group, with 2,748,905 total brand reputation index.
On the 4th spot is NCT, and WINNER completed the TOP 5.

Meanwhile, heaps of K-pop fans currently saddened several idols confirmed their enlistment in the military this month. EXO's leader Suho recently broke the news to EXO-Ls through his self-penned letter that he is set to fulfill his military service on May 14. BTOB's Sungjae and Hyunsik are set to enlist together on May 11, and each also wrote a letter to their Melodys.
It is yet to confirm if BTS Jin will proceed to join the army since he was born in 1992.
In other news, BTS has been confirmed to take part in the virtual graduation ceremony, called Dear Class of 2020 in June. The said event is organized by the former US President Barack Obama and his wife, Michelle, in cooperation with YouTube Channel and Reach Higher. Lady Gaga, Alicia Keys, and many more are also part of the said event.
