An Online Marketplace Allegedly Leaked BLACKPINK's Official Comeback Date and Album Release

On May 12, fans flocked to Shopee Taiwan's website after it allegedly leaked BLACKPINK's official comeback date and album release.

According to the initial reports by Korean media outlets, the iconic female girl group already finished recording their new track for their upcoming album, while the music video shooting is set to take place this May. In addition to this, articles say that the major return of the female idols will be in the early week or mid-week of June.

The reports are followed by YG Entertainment's official statement confirming that BLACKPINK will be having a comeback next month. According to the agency, "BLACKPINK is set to make a June Comeback," though the exact date wasn't revealed yet, making the fans surprised to see a detailed schedule of the girl group on the official website of Shopee Taiwan.

On the website of the online shopping platform, the product information of BLACKPINK's upcoming album is attached, and the description showed that the idols would be kicking off on June 12, while the alleged "FULL-ALBUM" will drop on the following day, June 13.

The date matched the previous reports that the group will be releasing the album early to mid-June, but YG Entertainment hasn't released any official statement regarding the album details yet.

BLINKs are confused then whether it is real or fake, as BLACKPINK's "KILL THIS LOVE" release also takes place the same way as in the description, releasing the official MV first to be followed by the album release.

Also, most of the huge CD shops know the exact comeback dates of K-pop idols or any other artist beforehand, that's why it is not impossible that the comeback date was accidentally leaked, or has been confirmed too early.

However, according to some fans, they will stay pressed and calm in the meantime because YG has the final say about this rumor.

On the other hand, fans are all excited to BLACKPINK x LADY GAGA collaboration song titled, "Sour Candy," which is a track from the international pop star's upcoming album, "Chromatic," set to be released on May 29.

May is indeed the month of major collaborations, starting from IU x BTS Suga, BOL4 x EXO's Baekhyun, EXO's Chanyeol x Raiden (ft. Lee Hi & Changmo), ZION T. x Chungha, Ong Seung Woo x Baek Z Young, etc., that's why it is expected that the "Megastar" Lady Gaga and the "Queens of K-pop" BLACKPINK will be going to make a huge global impact to the music industry.
