BLACKPINK Lisa Shares The Importance of Self-Love Amidst COVID-19

BLACKPINK's Lisa graced the cover of Allure Korea's June 2020 issue, where she opened up about embracing and loving herself, as well as the current state of the world exacerbated by the coronavirus pandemic.

Bearing in mind how she is one of the century's biggest highly-regarded and influential K-pop idols, the interviewer wished to learn how she characterizes and perceives "self-love," to which the female superstar said, "I love myself too. I just don't want to lose myself as well."

She clarified that something intrinsic about her vibrant and cheerful attitude was that she was clearly born, raised, and blessed with!

Although highlighting the significance of respecting and loving oneself, she also acknowledged her fans and all who expressed support and encouragement for who she really is today, "I'm so glad that a huge number of people just absolutely adore and love me for who I am."

Lisa also remarked on how she's not been capable of performing due to the coronavirus pandemic in front of her supporters for the last few months. However, she has made the decision to consider the unavoidable circumstance and plan for the day she's reconciled with her BLINKs!

"There is nothing that we can really do about it [the lockdout] because it is for the protection and health of all of us. I spend most of my time being cautious, too," she said.

"It's really disappointing that we can not reach our fans directly, but I'm striving diligently to plan for the day I can give them an incredible appearance," she went on.

The June issue of the magazine, which has Lisa's entire interview, is available offline and online shops. Allure Korea will also release online content in the coming days, starring Lisa herself!
