Read SHINee's Heartfelt Letter To Fans As They Celebrate Their 12th Anniversary in the Industry
On May 25 SHINee celebrated their 12th anniversary in the industry!
SHINee started its journey with "Replay" under SM Entertainment on May 25, 2008. Members Onew, Minho and Key are in the army, serving their nation at present, with Onew set to be discharged on July 18. Key will be released on October 7, followed by Minho on November 15.
Taemin is working to promote as a participant of SM Entertainment's SuperM venture group and also anticipates to return back with a new solo album.
On May 25 the band posted handwritten letters to commemorate the truly unique day on their main website fan community space in Lysn.
Onew, the leader of the party, chose to write: "12 years! Many of you who spent 12 years with us are so filled with love! I am really grateful and I love you."
Taemin said, "While I am the only one who is actively promoting right now, we will soon be reuniting and promoting together! Now you might all cherish living your own everyday life, but I hope you'll always have a space for SHINee open. I still say this, but the longer time goes by the more I know how grateful I am to you for your support and loyalty! I love you, and thank you for having given me and SHINee a life in which we can be so affectionate."
Minho wrote: "This is Choi Minho, the Marine Corporal! Our 12th Glorious Year. I want to live bound by this beautiful string with you and others. I am ever so grateful. I miss you so much and I love you so much. Your safety is also essential, so make absolutely sure it's still your first and foremost concern! I miss you so much! Congratulations on SHINee Day. Salute!"
Key's message says, "I can't quite believe we've been together so much time now! Don't realize how much I feel so happy and glad I ended up being and Idol, singing and dancing in front of our beloved fans! I hope everybody remains healthy and we look forward to all the days ahead! Key, with love."
The band's twitter page also shared a picture with different hashtags to mark the anniversary and SM Entertainment uploaded a heartfelt clip on YouTube entitled "Dozens of Years with SHINee- SHINee 12th Anniversary" Includes scenes from band's live performances.
Key also shared a sincere gratitude note to the supporters on Instagram, along with an old Instagram clip of Minho and Jonghyun enjoying while playing rock, paper, scissors. Key published, "SHINee's twelve years. I know that means so much to you and to us. This is all due to a lot of people's love and encouragement.
There wasn't a single moment here that I'd like to go back to because I was living with so much energy and happiness, so I know I'm going to keep going down that path. Both Days Today! Do we recall the moments that made it the most important today? I love you so dearly. Key."
