Singer turned actress Yoon Hyun-sook, who lives in Los Angeles, expressed her feelings about the "American riots."
Yoon Hyun-sook has been continuously posting real-time news about the situation in LA through social media since the 30th. She said on her Instagram account on the 1st, "I got a lot of calls from Korea asking if I was okay. Be safe and sound. I'll stay at home for a while. I'm too scared to go out."
However, she said she would buy coffee quickly, saying she wanted it, and had informed everyone that she'd been waiting for 10 minutes.
Yoon Hyun-sook said, "I'm going through so many things as the riots happen. I was watching a movie when I heard that during the riots, there was a lot of damage in the Korean town area. This time, I hope that there will be no damage to the Korean town."
However, Yoon Hyun-sook, who was heading home after buying coffee, was unable to move because of the crowd of protesters and said, "I was stuck in a car. People started protesting in front of us, and we're stuck in the car until they are gone. We have iced coffee, so I'll wait while drinking it," she said, trying to shake off her anxiety.
"It's scary, though. I'll wait and see because I'm going back after a quiet demonstration," Yoon said.
Yoon Hyun-sook said on her Instagram account on the 30th of May, "What happened yesterday evening in downtown? There were sound of helicopters and sirens all night. I was so scared, and when I saw it this morning, the window was broken. I won't go out for the time being," she said, announcing her recent status in the riot.
Recently, a protest took place in Minneapolis, Minnesota, after a police crackdown killed a black man, and a series of violence and looting spread throughout the United States. As Yoon's residence spread to the area, she expressed her feelings, saying, "I feel scared."
Yoon Hyun-sook said on Sunday these consequent post on her SNS, "This is a real-time situation. It's scary to think it's real, not a movie. Still the siren outside, the gunshot. Oh, mental breakdown," she stated.
"At last, a curfew has been imposed in LA from 8 pm this evening until dawn tomorrow. A scene that I used to see in this movie is unfolding in front of my eyes. I'm scared," the singer continued.
Since then, Yoon Hyun-sook has been raising concerns among many Internet users, even informing them that she went to buy a cup of coffee and stayed only in the car.
