SEVENTEEN has created a new challenge craze with their "Left & Right" challenge. Even other idols are getting in on the fun!
SEVENTEEN's latest comeback "Left & Right" comes from their 7th mini album "Heng:garae," which was released on June 22. Upon its release, it swept first place in numerous music charts, such as MelOn, Genie, Bugs, and more.
"Heng:garae" also proved to be popular worldwide, taking the top spots on the iTunes Global Albums Chart in 27 counties.
With the release of their latest title track, the boys created the "Left & Right" challenge on TikTok and spread it on other platforms like Instagram. People can use #LeftRightChallenge to share their versions online - and they did!
To introduce the challenge, SEVENTEEN showed the point choreography of the song while sitting. They followed it up by uploading several videos done either as a whole or in groups. They have done dance relays of the challenge as well as the whole point choreography.
Some did the dance challenge, while others put their own spin on it. Hoshi and DK did their own twist by picking between Coke and Cider, as well as Jjangjangmyeon and Jjampong. Many netizens found this version adorable and relatable. People also like it because it was a way for the boys to spread the challenge in their unique style, showing their personality. Other members also did selfie versions of the challenge, showing off their outstanding visuals.
Celebrities have since joined in on the fun. Pledis Entertainment artist, Ren from NU'EST, also did the challenge alongside SEVENTEEN's Seungkwan. The two are seen dancing passionately to the song and going crazy as they dance together! People love how it emitted cheerful energy!
Apink's Jung Eunji also participated in the challenge, dancing with members Vernon and Dino. Jung Eunji showed off her distinctive soft and swaggy dance lines, but she still made sure to have fun by adding her own twist to the dance!
Zico, too, did the challenge and shared it with fans through his Instagram Stories. Zico's version showed two sides of him - literally! On the left is a chic and cool Zico, while on the right is a cute and adorable Zico! The two Zicos pose to the beat of the music and show off the rapper's duality. He also tagged SEVENTEEN's official Instagram account.
Former Produce 101 Season 2 contestants and former RAINZ member turned soloist Hong Eunki also shared his version on TikTok. The idol is seen sitting down as he performs the point choreography, showing off his excitement as he vibes with the music.
SEVENTEEN must be proud of their global influence with the #LeftandRightChallenge. The hashtag on TikTok has over 18 million views!
SEVENTEEN will continue promoting the song and are set to appear on Music Bank on the 26th of June.
