Red Velvet's Seulgi was hilariously caught onscreen in a moment that viewers did not expect.
Irene and Seulgi landed on a commendable success as they both went on stage to accept their trophy for topping the charts for their unit debut title song, "Monster," on July 17. The duo received bouquets and was clad in lovely headbands and furry and fluffy monster gloves. These were handed to them to use as their props.
However, as Seulgi was trying to wear the gloves, she inadvertently raised her fake claws' middle finger, and the audience spotted that exact moment. Realizing what happened, she instantly placed her hand down and put it on properly.
"SEULGI DID NOT ASK WENDY IF IT'S OKAY TO DO A PEACE SIGN IN NORTH KOREA FOR HER JUST TO END UP ACCIDENTALLY GIVING A MIDDLE FINGER ON A BROADCAST"
"Irene struggling with the head thing and Seulgi with the unintentional middle finger, I love this video."
"The video editor of monster encore even putting exclamation points when seulgi accidentally raised middle finger lol then there comes seulgi's surprised reaction"
"I still can't get over on how shocked Seulgi was when she realized that the monster glove is giving a middle finger."
"I mean I don't mind receiving a middle finger from seulgi tho"
On July 6, Irene and Seulgi finally released their much-anticipated duo debut with their five-track mini-album, "Monster."
Prior to the official MV release, SM Entertainment shared the lyrics on its official YouTube account. Indeed, the unit's preparation paid off as the tracks dominated the local and international music charts instantly after its release, such as the worldwide iTunes charts.
The "Monster" music video is now viewed by over 31 million YouTube users as of press time. Netizens lauded the two visuals for their fantastic performance on their visually-pleasing MV and their music show performances.
Thus, their success becomes evident after receiving their prize.
