Britney Spears And Amanda Bynes: Celebrity Breakdowns Bring Out 'Compassion' Amongst Female Stars Like Zoe Saldana

With the very public breakdown of Amanda Bynes spewed out on Twitter, stars like Britney Spears and Zoe Saldana are voicing their opinions on celebrity meltdowns.

The "Toxic" singer has reportedly reached out to 27-year-old Bynes to help her overcome her personal struggles.

According to Gossipcop, an insider says "[Britney] had a brief conversation with Amanda the week before her arrest and promised to personally help Amanda get her career back on track by helping her record music."

"Britney also opened up to Amanda about her painful breakdown and about how she was so against her dad taking out a conservatorship, but she told Amanda that it wound up being a life, career, and fortune saver."

Despite such claims, Bynes has shown no signs of recovery on Twitter, and other sources have reported Spears denying any recent contact with the "Hairspray" star.

Spears herself overcame a very public breakdown in 2007, during which she reportedly shaved her head and showed erratic behavior. And according to Sowetan, "Star Trek: Into Darkness" star Zoe Saldana sympathizes with the pop diva's struggles.

"She was a small town girl with big dreams who made it and she was the cleanest spirit out of all the people that came out," said the 34-year-old actress.

"I was very appreciative that I got to see that little side of her because the years that followed were very grueling for her and I felt nothing but compassion."

Compassion might just be what Amanda Bynes needs, whether she gets it from Britney Spears or otherwise.
