Amid the ongoing global health crisis, blessings came to these K-pop artists as they welcome their babies to the world. These proud parents announced that their bundles of joy have arrived.
1. J.Y. Park
Jin Young Park excitedly announced the arrival of his second child on March 9. Soon after, netizens flooded his comments section with congratulatory messages. The little girl is yet to know that she is a princess to the founder and co-CEO of one of the biggest entertainment agencies in Korea, JYP Entertainment.
2. Former LABOUM Yulhee & FTISLAND Minhwan
Yulhee and Minhwan welcomed not just one but two bundles of joy in February this year. The twin girls, Ah Yoon and Ah Rin, were proudly announced by their mom while having her baby bump.
3. Former 9Muses Eunji
In late 2019, Eunji revealed that she was pregnant through her official Instagram account. She even tagged her non-celebrity husband (they got married in 2018). In June, the former 9Muses member announced that Baby Sia was born.
4. Former 9Muses Sungah
Another 9Muses who is blessed with a newborn this year is Sungah. In March, she shared a video of her baby boy. Sungah also married in 2018 to DJ DaQ after a year of dating.
5. T-ARA Ahreum
Another female idol witnessed her child this year. Ahreum shared the lovely news in May through her Instagram account. She also shared the real struggle of pregnancy labor due but found happiness after finally seeing her baby boy.
Amidst several backlash from Korean netizens last year due to premarital pregnancy, Ahreum has always been proud to show off her journey as mom.
6. EXO Chen
Chen announced in January this year that he is getting married to his non-celebrity girlfriend and consequently said that they were expecting. However, some Korean fans didn't like the idea and expressed their objections to the idol's new life journey. They sent back his merchandise to SM Entertainment, rallied, and even planned to defame him in his hometown, Siheung. Nevertheless, tons of fans, most of whom are from overseas, supported him all the way.
Then, the good news finally arrived in April when Chen's wife gave birth to their baby girl, which massively got support from EXO-Ls worldwide.
