Following former AOA member Kwon Mina's apology for her recent behavior, fans who have visited her page have noticed that her Instagram account has been deleted. On August 12, Wednesday, Mina's agency Woori Actors spoke up on the deletion of her Instagram account.

According to the agency, Mina chose to delete her Instagram account herself in order to focus on her treatment. Woori Actors has stated that they did not tamper with the account, and they did not force her to close it.

It is unknown if she will ever be re-opening her Instagram account. She had previously used her account to share her side of the AOA bullying scandal, as well as updates on her mental health.

Kwon Mina is currently receiving treatment for her mental health and in the care of her mother. For the time being, Mina will focus on getting better and will have no activities in the entertainment industry.

Hopefully, Mina feels better soon!

A RUNDOWN ON THE SITUATION

In July 2020, Mina revealed through an Instagram post that she had chosen to leave AOA and FNC Entertainment due to being bullied by a member for ten years. At the time, Mina did not name the member who bullied her, though hinted the member's father had died recently.

As Mina's post started to gain attention, former AOA member and leader Jimin shared the word "fiction" to her Instagram story, which people assumed meant she was calling out Mina for lying. After this, Mina revealed that Jimin was the member who bullied her, claiming she had to endure a lot of pain due to the harassment she received from her then-leader.

One major incident Mina revealed was how she still promoted with AOA despite her father passing away. Though she wanted to take time to mourn, she chose to take minimal days off and pushed through with most of her activities, all while making sure not to ruin the mood of the group to make sure Jimin wasn't angry.

However, when Jimin's father passed away, she canceled all her activities and even got a VIP room for her family at the hospital.

Following the revelation that Jimin was the one who bullied her, the AOA members and managers paid a visit to Mina's house to apologize. When Jimin arrived, however, she allegedly acted inappropriately by threatening to kill herself while wielding a knife and then insincerely apologizing.

Following the house visit, Jimin shared a post on her Instagram where she says she visited Mina personally and apologized and begged for her forgiveness. Mina denied this and instead revealed she was gaslighted by Jimin, as he had pretended to have no recollections of the bullyings. Mina went on to say that all the eyes and ears at her house that night had sided with her.

Soon after, FNC Entertainment announced that Jimin would be leaving the group and would be retiring from the entertainment industry. On August 9, Sunday, FNC Entertainment released an official statement on the situation, where they apologized to Mina. People were not happy with the apology, as they believed some parts of their statements put the blame on Mina.

On August 8, Mina's label Woori Actors confirmed that they called the paramedics to her home after she shared a photo of her self-harming to her Instagram. They confirmed that she was in the hospital and was receiving emergency treatment, and reassured fans that her condition is stable and non-life-threatening.

Three days after, Mina shared a post to her Instagram. She apologized for her actions and claimed to have accepted FNC Entertainment and CEO Han Sung Ho's apology. She said she would be taking time to reflect on her actions and will be receiving treatment.

On August 11, fans discovered that Jimin had deleted all of her YouTube videos from her YouTube channel, a sign that she was retiring from every aspect of the entertainment industry, including the online entertainment industry.
