This is Every Record BTS Broke With "Dynamite" in The First 24 Hours

As many know, BTS recently released their first all-English single "Dynamite". Upon its release, ARMYs gave the song and music video a lot of love; so much love that both the song and music video broke records almost instantly.

Here are all the records "Dynamite" broke in 24 hours!

According to Forbes, "Dynamite" had the biggest live count during its premiere, making it the biggest YouTube premiere of all time. A number between 3 and 4 million had tuned in for the music video's premiere.

ARMYs had set up a goal of reaching 100 million views in a day, in the hopes that BTS will secure the record for the most-viewed music video within the first 24 hours on YouTube. ARMYs set up the goal to show BTS how much they love them and to thank them for all the hard work they put into "Dynamite". Within an hour and 14 minutes of its release, it surpassed 20 million views.

On YouTube is appeared that the music video for "Dynamite" raked in 98.3 million views in its first 24 hours. Those views, though not the number ARMYs wanted, still beat the previous record help by BLACKPINK, who raked in 86.3 million views with "How You Like That". However, it was later confirmed by both YouTube and Big Hit Entertainment that "Dynamite" had actually garnered 101.1 million views with "Dynamite" in the first 24 hours of its release. That means ARMYs successfully reached their goal!

BTS broke records not only on YouTube but on Spotify as well! On August 21, "Dynamite" debuted at the top of the Spotify Daily Global Top 50 Chart. "Dynamite" is the first and only song by a Korean act to ever debut on the chart. It is also BTS's first song to ever hit number one on the chart.

On its first day of release on the platform, the song achieved 7,778,950 streams. This beats the record previously held by Taylor Swift for "Cardigan", which amassed 7.742 million streams. BTS holds the record for the biggest Spotify debut of 2020.

ARMYs also broke records for the group on iTunes. Before the song "Dynamite" was even released, BTS became the artist with the most number of number one hits in history for their song "Black Swan", which beat Adele's record of 102 number one hits for "Hello". BTS's songs "Moon", "Your Eyes Tell", and "My Time" also hit over 100 number ones on iTunes.

The two former songs mentioned actually surpassed "Black Swan" and its record with over 105 number one hits. BTS member V's solo song "Sweet Night", which comes from the "Itaewon Class" OST, is the song with the most iTunes number one hits, charting at the top of the charts in 116 countries.

"Dynamite" achieved number one on the iTunes Chart in 100 countries within the first eight hours of its release, making BTS the fastest artist to ever reaching 100 number one hits for one song. With "My Time", "Moon", "Black Swan", "Your Eyes Tell", and "Dynamite", BTS is now the only group to have five songs achieved over 100 number one hits on the iTunes charts.

BTS' "Dynamite" is a song meant to uplift and bring hope and happiness to those struggling due to the unforeseen circumstances brought about by the coronavirus pandemic. BTS is set to release an album this year, and ARMYs can't wait to hear what else BTS has in store.
