It is not uncommon for idols to sell merchandise. They usually sell conventional products, such as t-shirts, lightsticks, ID laces, and more. However, there are times people think out of the box and sell some weird and unheard of merch items.

Here are some of the weirdest K-pop merchandise to ever be announced - and yes, they are real!

1. Super Junior

In 2016, Super Junior partnered up with the Korean supermarket brand Emart and released their own Habanero spicy instant ramen! They released a soup version and a jjajangmyeon version for the ELFs who want variety. Fans who have tried it say its incredibly spicy, and with a rating of nearly 6,000 Scoville, it will definitely make your tongue tingle!

2. Epik High

To celebrate the new year, Epik High dropped the hippest calendar in the history of K-pop! Each photo is the same, but their outfits for each month are edited to fit the seasons. For example, the three members are sun wearing raincoats and holding an umbrella for July, as it is rainy season in Korea at the time. Each page includes an Epik High song lyric. Well, at least they didn't have to go through the trouble of changing their clothes and taking numerous photos!

3. Oh My Girl

Oh My Girl wants to make sure their fans have all the tools needed to have a perfect meal. This is why they decided to sell a spoon set (spoon and chopsticks), coasters, a mini-table, and table cloth to fans for the second phase of their fan club kit! It's perfect for setting up the perfect meal.

4. EXO

In 2020, EXO released this unusual K-pop merchandise - a milk glass - for their 8th anniversary. It also comes with a muddler. The glass says "EXO-FLAVORED MILK", so for the fans who want to pretend their drinking milk that tastes like EXO (what would that even taste like?), this is the glass for you!

5. TWICE's Tzuyu

TWICE is known for taking part in the creative process of their fan merchandise. But one fan merchandise was so random, fans had to buy it. Yes, we are talking about the trash can Tzuyu designed. It's a cute trash can that says "Throw your negative energy here!" It was such a hit that the first day it went on sale, it was completely sold out! It also sold out on the second and third day of selling.

6. BLACKPINK

For their pre-release single with Selena Gomez coming on August 28, the two parties partnered up with "Serendipity" for a new ice cream flavor! The ice cream flavor is a delicious "Cookies & Cream Remix" and will be released the same day as their new song. As of now, it is only available in the United States.

7. GFRIEND

These never made it to the market due to the intense backlash, but it was too weird to not add on the list. On December 27, Source Music revealed that they were planning to self life-size body pillow of the GFRIEND members. Due to how similar it is to the Japanese anime love pillows, fans accused Source Music of sexualizing their idols, which led them to cancel the selling of the merchandise.
