Emerging as the next generation global superstars, monster rookie group CRAVITY has topped the Japanese Tower Records Chart even before their official debut in Japan.
CRAVITY is a 9-member boy group under Starship Entertainment. The group consists of Serim, Allen, Jungmo, Woobin, Wonjin, Minhee, Hyeongjun, Taeyoung and Seongmin. They debuted on April 14, 2020 with the title track "Break all the Rules".
According to the Tower Records' official website, CRAVITY's full-length comeback album 'CRAVITY SEASON 2. HIDEOUT: THE NEW DAY WE STEP INTO' has officially taken the first place on the overall weekly chart. With this, CRAVITY has proven their talents and skill once again. Their ability to have achieved this feat before their official debut in Japan only raises expectations for their immense success after the debut.
This is even more special because the songs 'Believer' and 'Realize' speak of the origin story of CRAVITY, thus making it very close to the group's heart, adding meaning to their success.
Recently it had also been revealed, according to the Hanteo Chart, that CRAVITY has sold 82,254 copies of their second mini album CRAVITY SEASON 2. HIDEOUT: THE NEW DAY WE STEP INTO, which was released on August 24.
CRAVITY has thus transformed from super rookies to global icons who have achieved the top rank among K-Pop songs on iTunes with their debut album, 'CRAVITY SEASON 1. HIDEOUT : REMEMBER WHO WE ARE.' Recently, CRAVITY also bagged the Rookie Of The Year Award at the 2020 Soribada Music Awards.
On September 1, the group ranked at No. 1 on the SBS MTV's "The Show". Immediately after the broadcast, the group, the hashtag 'Flame1stWin' and their fandom name 'Lovity' were the top trending hashtags on various SNS platforms.
We are thrilled to see such an amazing group gain the recognition they deserve as well as soar to new heights. Congratulations CRAVITY!
