Miley Cyrus strengthened rumors that she hasn't quite ended things with "Hunger Games" star Liam Hemsworth.

Cyrus posted a photo of herself on Twitter wearing a fairytale-style wedding dress on Tuesday, mystifying the duo's status as a couple.

While the 20-year-old actress did not post a caption with the photo, she wore an expression on her face that spoke volumes.

Cyrus' photo, featuring her draped in white lace that was accentuated by a wedding-style netted skirt, was taken on the same day she was shooting a video, according to her Twitter posts.

Although several fans speculate that the photo was not directed toward the couple's recent breakup, many of her Twitter fans were left wondering if she was wearing the wedding dress she was slated to wear if she would have stayed with Hemsworth.

"...is that your wedding dress omgdhydy," tweeted one fan.

Hemsworth allegedly called off his engagement with the former Disney star, despite the fact that the couple had nearly finalized their wedding plans.

Perhaps the biggest question looming in the minds of Cyrus' fans and Twitter followers is why she would post a photo of herself wearing a wedding dress just after an engagement break-up.

"Miley is in denial - she still thinks that Liam is going to marry her, even though things have been so up and down," a source close to Cyrus told HollywoodLife.com in an interview.

"She really doesn't want this to be over. It's really heartbreaking for everyone that loves her because Liam has been pretty awful."
