Justin Bieber just can't seem to stay out of hot water.

Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department investigators would like Justin Bieber to set the record straight regarding allegations by former NFL star turned ESPN sports caster Keyshawn Johnson and others that the teen star drove recklessly through his Calbasas neighborhood.

Johnson claims to have seen Bieber driving the car. He then chased after Bieber in his Prius all the way to singer'shouse, and even claims to have seen him hop out of his car and run into his house.

Authorities are seeking surveillance video and interviews with additional witnesses who may have seen Bieber driving at freeway speeds through the gated community during the Memorial Day weekend along with Johnson.

A representative for the Canadian singer declined to comment on the reckless driving allegations.

 "It's time for him to tell his side of the story to investigators -- rather than deny the allegations through is representatives," Los Angeles County Sheriff spokesman Steve Whitmore said.

"Mr. Bieber is making statements through others that he was not driving,"

"If he wants to set the record straight, contact us for a sit-down, thorough interview. He has to ask himself this question, 'If you have nothing to hide, why not talk to us?'" Whitmore said.

This would be the second incident involving Bieber and his neighbors in recent months.

In March of this year, Bieber was accused by a neighbor of spitting on him during a confrontation over parties hosted at the singer's home while he was on tour in Europe.

"The case has been turned over to prosecutors, who have yet to bring charges against him," Whitmore said.

These incidents follow a string of headline-grabbing fiascos over the course of his European tour earlier this year.

A monkey that belonged to Bieber was confiscated at a Munich airport in March for not having the necessary paperwork and has since been seized and become German national property after the singer failed to reclaim it.

In Poland, the singer stripped of his tee shirt and walked through security to get to his private jet on a frigid night. The teen star also scuffled with a London photographer outside his hotel.
