1. Kang Daniel
Kang Daniel, a former Wanna One member and current soloist, first caught people's eyes as the first place winner of "Produce 101 Season 2". At first, people had wondered if he was born or raised in the United States because of his name, but it was soon revealed he had it legally changed. He was originally born Kang Euigeon, but he had his name changed because people had a hard time pronouncing the "ui" sound. Frustrated with people always confusing his name, he ended up changing his name to Daniel.

2. Yoon Jisung
Yoon Jisung, another former member of Wanna One, had also legally changed his name. He was born as Yoon Byeongok. As a high school student, Yoon Jisung decided to change his name because he thought his name brought him bad luck. Since then, he has been known as Yoon Jisung, but his high school photo album still has his original name.
3. iKON's Kim Donghyuk
iKON, along with Donghyuk, became a huge hit in South Korea following the release of their song "Love Scenario". As the public started learning more about the members, it was revealed Kim Donghyuk had actually changed his name. His name was originally Kim Dongdong, and fans agree that the name is actually rather adorable. While it is a cute name, he is now known as Kim Donghyuk and is a proud member of iKON.

4. TWICE's Jihyo
Jihyo, TWICE's leader, was originally born as Kim Jisoo. The idol had changed her name to Jihyo right before she competed on "SIXTEEN", the survival show that selected the members of TWICE. She proudly promotes with the name Jihyo and is the leader of TWICE, a group that has grown to be popular in more than just South Korea.

5. MONSTA X's Joohoney
Joohoney is the idol's nickname and his legal name is Lee Jooheon. Fans were surprised to find that the idol changed his name not once, but twice! He was born as Lee Hojun, and then he changed his name to Lee Jihwan before changing to Lee Jooheon. He said that the reason he changed his name is because he faced many hardships with his two previous names. Now, the idol proudly promotes as MONSTA X's Joohoney!
