12-Year-Old Brother Denies Charge In Sister's Stabbing; But Community And Police Believe He Is GUILTY Of Murder[VIDEO]

12-year-old Isaiah Fowler denies the charge of stabbing his 9 year-old-sister, Liela Fowler. His attorney entered a non-guilty plea for the murder charge in court on Wednesday and denies the boy's involvement in the killing of his sister.  But most people, and most importantly police, don't believe the 12-year-old and think he is in fact guilty of murder.

Back on April, 27th the 12-year-old boy in Valley Springs, called the police after he claimed he found his sister in their home with multiple stabbing wounds. He denies any involvement in the murder and stuck to the story that he found Leila already dead. The entire community was shaken while a manhunt for Leila's killer was at large.

Leila's 12-year-old big brother had once described the "intruder" as a six-foot white or Latino man with long gray hair, wearing blue pants and a black long-sleeve shirt at the time the stabbing occurred.

But two weeks after Leila's death, authorities arrested the brother and he was charged with second-degree murder on May 15. Police believed the 12-year-old boy is a liar and responsible for the stabbing of his sweet litle sister. For a community still shaken from the killing, the news that the brother could have killed his little sis was another shock.

Police released no information about what led them to arrest the  12-year-old for the April 27 murder. Following the crime, investigators did a door-to-door sweep of homes, storage sheds and horse stables scattered across the oak-studded hills foothills of the Sierra Nevada. Divers also searched two nearby reservoirs in search of clues. It seems all of their efforts were worthless; the killer was right under their nose.

Isaiah was suspended for five days in January for bringing a "tiny little Swiss Army knife" to school. This is no clear-cut evidence, but it does show favoritism towards knives. Is this just a mere coincidence?

The father was involved in child-support disputes with three different women, including the mother of Leila and Isaiah.

Family court records show the children's mother, Priscilla Rodriguez, was largely cut off from Leila and her brother.

But the mother did describe her son as "protective" of his younger sibling and her son "could never hurt his sister."

"I've never seen him be mean to her," said biological mother Priscilla Rodriquez.

"It's bad enough to lose a child. I can't imagine losing a child by one of my own children," Patti Campbell, a longtime area resident and owner of Campbell's Country Kitchen, told The Associated Press.

Campbell, a resident of the area for 33 years and the operator of the Valley Springs restaurant for 15 of them, said she had served Leila and her family in her restaurant.

"It's just shocking. I don't know what else to say," Campbell said.

Other residents expressed similar feelings of disbelief.

"I did not want to believe it. You kind of thought so, but it's not something you want to believe," resident Tammy Ainsworth told Sacramento's KCRA-TV.

I think he did it. The strange intrusion story in a remote part of California, whiteout any theft or rape, just seems to far fetched.

Do you think he's guilty or innocent?
