On October 1, Jessica posted various celebratory photos of herself as she wrote in the captions "Shine is finally out!" Jessica was seen posing next to huge pink and golden congratulatory balloons that said, "You were born to shine" referencing her novel and "Shine like Jessica".
Jessica's novel was under a bit of controversy before its final release as it was unclear whether the book was autobiographical or not. For obvious reasons, were the book to be completely autobiographical, it would probably be a problem for everyone involved.
This was perhaps why there was a slight delay in publication. However, Jessica clarified that her book was just a work of fiction right out of her imagination. The novel tells the story of a young girl who goes to Korea and is scouted by a top entertainment agency. It explores all the difficulties and harsh judgement and criticism that a K-Pop trainee has to go through while also being a coming of an age genre piece.
Fans are delighted to be getting their hands on the novel and are excited to read it. They're also visibly proud of their idol for writing a book so happily. We wish Jessica all the success!
