On October 14, Big Hit Entertainment just dropped a teaser for a new piece of BTS merchandise, available for purchase on October 15 at the BTS WeVerse Shop Global. Upon the reveal, people couldn't help but comment on how weird it is.

Want to know what it is? It's bottled water! The Big Hit Entertainment merchandise official Twitter shared the news with fans with a cute, 10-second video. The Korean caption reads,

"Clean, healthy water from the deep ocean meets BTS to create premium water. @weverseshop let's meet here."

The bottled water is called "beWATER with BTS". The bottle is decorated with purple scribbles concerning music, with things like music notes, guitars, pianos, microphones, volume symbols, and more instruments. Each symbol represents a member; RM is a casette tape, Jin is a piano, Suga is a guitar, J-Hope is a vinyl, Jimin is a volume bars symbol, V is a saxophone, and Jungkook is a microphone.

Upon the reveal of the bottled water, many fans pointed out that the member of BTS was actually see drinking their own water during their two-day online concert, "Map of the Soul ON:E". Looks like the boys were promoting it even before the reveal!

Many Korean netizens believed fans would buy it just for the bottle. Even when they were done drinking the water, they won't throw away the bottle! Read their comments here:

"The bottle is super cute."

"How much is this bottle? I think it will be sold out if they sell it at concerts."

"I should buy a bottle as a souvenir."

"I do not know what material they are using for the bottle, but I personally think it would be better if the bottle was reusable, even if it makes it more expensive."

"Is this the first time Big Hit has done this? SM always does, and I bought the bottle, not the water."

"Well, people will definitely buy it for the bottle, not the water."

"ARMY will buy it."

"BTS drank it at their concert!"

"Water is not merchandise, the bottle is merchandise."

As mentioned by a Korean netizen, Big Hit Entertainment is not the first company to sell bottles. SM Entertainment does it for their artist and they usually cost $22 to $25 USD. However, the bottles do not come with water and are reusable.

In the past, however, SM Entertainment has sold sparkling water for artists, such as SHINee and EXO.
