Ong Seong Wu's Pop-Up Store Opens in Shibuya, Japan for Limited Time Only
Fantagio Entertainment held an Ong Seong Wu pop-up store in Shibuya, Japan selling goods that fans should not miss!
On October 21, the agency announced that the K-pop male artist would hold a pop-up store at the fashion mall 'Shibuya 109 Shibuya' in Japan. It opened on October 20 (local time) and will remain available until November 1. In this store, fans will find a variety of merchandise, including music videos, behind-the-scenes video of the actor's drama, a video message from Ong Seong Wu, and limited-edition goods based on the concept pic of his first mini-album titled 'Layers,' which was released in March this year. Unreleased photos can also be found.
On top of that, customers who will purchase goods from the pop-up store have the chance to win an autographed MD of the singer. The winner will be determined through a lottery. Meanwhile, fan club members will receive a photo gift. They only need to show their 'digital membership card' to the staff.
Ong Seong Wu is currently a male lead in the JTBC drama entitled "More Than Friends," in which he plays the role of a photographer named Lee Soo. He plays the lead role alongside Shin Ye Eun, who acts as Kyung Woo-Yeon, and Kim Dong Jun plays On Joon-soo. The television series premiered on September 25.
He is also revealed to make his big-screen debut in the forthcoming musical-movie titled "Life is Beautiful. In the film, Ong Seong Wu will be working with Ryu Seun-ryong and Yum Jung-ah. He is chosen to take the role of Ryu's younger counterpart. The movie is scheduled to be shown in theatres later this year.
Besides being an actor, Ong is also a singer. In August 2016, he signed a contract with his current company Fantagio and became its representative for Mnet's boy group survival reality show Produce 101 (Season 2). In the finale of the competition, Ong took fifth place with a total of 984,756 votes, giving him the chance to debut as a member of Wanna One on August 7, 2017.
As a K-pop boy group member, he made several appearances on an array of variety shows such as The Return of Superman, Happy Together, and Saturday Night Live Korea. He and his fellow groupmate, Kang Daniel, also appeared on Master Key. In November 2017, the artist was featured in the music video of Huh Gak's digital single "Only You.
Ong Seong Wu's contract as a Wanna One member ended on December 31, 2018. But his journey didn't stop there. He continued as a solo artist, releasing singles like "Heart Sign and "We Belong, and holding solo fan-meetings. The singer also made a comeback this year with his first solo album called "Layers on March 25, featuring its lead single "Gravity. Ong participated in the lyric-writing and composition process of all the songs in the said album.
The artist also collaborated with Baek Ji-young on the song "Didn't Say Anything, which was released on May 12.
