Suzy Donates 100 Million Won For Patients With Incurable Diseases and Pediatric Cancer

On October 22, Thursday, it was reported that singer and actress Suzy donated 100 million won for patients with incurable diseases a childhood cancer.

"Suzy recently donated 100 million won to the headquarters," announced the Life Share Association Headquarters in a statement made on October 22, KST, Thursday. Suzy has been consistently donating to the Life Share Association since 2016.

Suzy has helped provide annual medical aid for patients with incurable diseases and pediatric cancer and continuously supported the economically challenged and underprivileged. Suzy has made it a habit of donating to the organization every year on her birthday.

"We plan to find and support underprivileged patients and support the costs of their treatments under Suzy's name," said the Life Share Association in their announcement.

This is not the first time Suzy has done good deeds. She is known as the industry's "Donation Fairy" due to how often she participates in charitable activities.

In the past, Suzy donated 100 million won to Hope Bridge's National Disaster Relief Association. She also donated another 100 million won to Good Naver to help those suffering from the COVID-19 pandemic, as well as for those who suffered during the flood this year.

Back on September 4, Suzy celebrated Taekwondo Day with the Happiness Sharing Taekwondo Association. She donated 60 million won to the organization.

Additionally, Suzy donated to the 'Dream Story' campaign, which is a campaign that supports the dreams of underprivileged dreams and teenagers. Though the amount was undisclosed, it has been reported that her donation helped around 5,000 people who are being supported by the organization.

Korean netizens are applauding Suzy for her kind heart and showing her good influence by consistently contributing to society.

Suzy is a South Korean actress and singer. In 2009, she auditioned for Mnet's 'Superstar K.' While she made it through the preliminary round but was ultimately eliminated. Despite being eliminated, she was scouted by a JYP Entertainment representative and soon was signed under the company.

She debuted in 2010 with Miss A under JYP Entertainment. In 2011, Suzy made her acting debuted in the KBS music teen drama 'Dream High', also releasing an OST for the drama titled 'Winter Child.' The drama was highly successful, earning Suzy the 'Best New Actress Award' at the KBS award, as well as the 'Best Couple Award' with Kim Soo Hyun.

She made her film debut in 'Architecture 101' in 2012. It was one of the most-watched films in Korea for the first quarter of the year.

In 2016, Suzy released a duet with EXO's Baekhyun titled 'Dream,' which topped the Gaon's Weekly Digital Chart" and earned her the 'Best Collaboration' award at the Mnet Asian Music Awards.

In 2017, Suzy made her debut as a soloist with the album 'Yes? No?'. The pre-release single 'Pretend' achieved an all-kill on South Korean music charts. She made her comeback the next years. The pre-release single to her second album, 'In Love With Someone Else,' also achieved an all-kill on the music charts. She came back with the album titled 'Faces of Love.'

In 2019, Suzy left JYP Entertainment after choosing not to renew her contract with the company. She later signed with Management SOOP and has since focused on her acting career.
