Following data from September 24, 2020, and October 24, 2020, the Korean Brand Research Institute dropped their brand reputation rankings for Korean singers (including both soloists and groups) for October. See who made the top 50 here!
The Korean Brand Research Institute analyzed 168,915,428 data from September 24 and October 24. They analyzed the consumer participation index, media index, communication index, and community reception index of 50 singers. The data that they had to analyze increased by 32.71% from last month, with September having 127,384,784.
Why does the Korean Brand Research Institute release brand reputation rankings? The data shows which artist is loved by consumers and is used to analyze consumer behaviors. With the brand reputation rankings, we can find out who, where, how, why, and how people talk about a certain artist.
First place is trot singer Na Hoon A. He has a brand reputation index of 17,027,294 with a brand participation index of 6,257,989, a media index of 3,391,753, a communication index of 3,532,997, and a community index of 3,844,555. This is Na Hoon A's first time on the list and debuted on the rankings at number one.
Second place goes to the 'Princes of Pop', BTS (RM, Suga, Jin, J-Hope, Jimin, V, and Jungkook). The group has a brand reputation index of 16,698,674 with a brand participation index of 4,068,836, a media index of 4,207,060, a communication index of 4,063,060, and a community index of 4,359,718. Compared to their September brand reputation index of 22,550,007, it fell by 29.95%.
In third place, we have trot singer Lim Young Woong, who has a brand reputation index of 12,663,664. He has a brand participation index of 5,017,027, a media index of 1,882,503, a communication index of 2,808,942, and a community index of 2,955,192. Compared with his September brand reputation index of 10,439,938, it rose by 21.30%.
YG Entertainment girl group BLACKPINK (Jisoo, Jennie, Rosé, and Lisa) ranked at fourth place. The girl group has a brand reputation index of 11,470,474 with a brand participation index of 2,531,274, a media index of 1,980,892, a communication index of 3,629,65, and a community index of 3,598,652. Compared to their September brand reputation index of 9,601,636, it rose by 22.8%.
NCT (Taeil, Johnny, Taeyong, Yuta, Doyoung, Ten, Jaehyun, Winwin, Mark, Renjun, Jeno, Haechan, Jaemin, Chenle, Jisung, Lucas, Jungwoo, Kun, Xiaojun, Yangyang, Hendery, Shotaro, and Sungchan) ranked at fifth place. They have a brand reputation index of 10,816,826 with a brand participation index of 2,576,191, a media index of 1,739,213, a communication index of 3,401,660, and a community index of 3,099,763. This is the first time the SM Entertainment boy group appeared on these rankings.
