Rain is about to make his debut as part of a project duo with an 'unknown' artist.

On October 28, Sublime Artist Agency, the label managing the male idol, announced that Rain is preparing a new album. In particular, the company plans to debut a duo with Rain as one of the members. The other member who will join Rain remains a mystery, but the Sublime Artist Agency described the artist as 'widely known' and a 'talented dancer' whose dance skill competes with Rain's.

The Korean label added that the project duo's debut would be "the end of the dance." More details about the duo, including the mysterious artist's identity, are yet to be announced.

Meanwhile, Rain's upcoming album will mark his first music release after almost three years since his second extended play entitled "My Life, which was out on December 1, 2017. "My Life is Rain's first EP in 10 years since his special mini-album called "Back to the Basic " was released on April 16, 2010. The Korean singer produced the EP, consisting of 10 songs, including the lead single "GANG and the pre-release single "Goodbye" with Jo Hyun Ah.

During summer this year, Rain became a member of a supergroup called SSAK3 under the name 'B.Ryong.' The group was created on MBC's variety program "Hangout with Yoo. The other members are Yoo Jaesuk and Lee Hyori, who goes by the stage names U-Doragon and Linda.G, respectively. The three artists agreed to be a seasonal supergroup who will promote in summer and winter.

On July 25, Rain made a debut as an SSAK3 member with the track "Beach Again. The single took the No. 1 spot on numerous South Korean real-time music charts, and it even topped the Gaon Digital Chart for five consecutive weeks. Also, SSAK3 launched "In The Summer, " a cover of Deux's 1994 song, the "Play That Summer, and three solo tracks, which are all part of the group's "SSAK3 Special Album, which was out on August 20. It sold more than 80,000 copies.

On October 8, Rain made the fans hearts' flutter with his dance cover of two K-Pop songs shared by Season B Season on their YouTube channel. MONSTA X's Shownu and KCM also participated. In the video, Rain, Shownu, and KCM can be seen learning a few steps of different tracks, such as MONSTA X's "Fantasia, Oh My Girl's "Dolphin, TWICE's "Fancy, BTS's "Dynamite, and more.

Among the tracks, Rain and the other two only covered BTS's "Dynamite, which was determined through spinning a wheel. Then the three of them made a special cover of 2PM's My House to fulfill the promise Rain made before - if Season B Season YT channel reaches 500,000 subscribers, he will dance to 2PM's track.

Rain made his debut as a solo artist in 2002 with his first solo album titled "Bad Guy, " including 11 tracks, including the title track of the same name. The singer became famous not only in Korea but also in other countries around the world.
