CJ ENM's best and perhaps the most-watched music awards ceremony '2020 MAMA (Mnet Asian Music Awards)' has officially announced the start of a splendid and magical music festival on Dec. 6. An exciting teaser video, the official logo, and a concept were released earlier in October, and now, all the nominees have been officially announced. The voting process has also begun, and fans can't wait for this epic night!
On Tuesday, Nov. 10, CJ ENM announced that SEVENTEEN, TWICE, NCT and IZ*ONE will be joining the incredible performance line-up of this year's Mnet Asian Music Awards. Fans can expect all-new, never-seen-before performances from TWICE and SEVENTEEN as well as all 23 members of NCT. IZ*ONE, who are currently gearing up for a December comeback, will also present brand new performances that night.
On September 9, Seventeen released their second Japanese EP, "24H". They were the third group to reach no. 1 on the Oricon Weekly Album Chart with four consecutive albums, which was last achieved in 1977 by Scottish pop-rock band Bay City Rollers. On October 9, "24H" gained platinum certification from RIAJ for selling over 250,000 copies.
On Oct. 19, Seventeen released their second special album Semicolon with lead single "Home;Run". The album made headlines before its release after it was reported that more than a million copies had been sold in pre-orders alone, the second of the group's albums to reach the one million mark. Semicolon reached no.1 in several countries worldwide. Similarly, TWICE's second Korean studio album, Eyes Wide Open, was released on Oct 26 with the lead single titled "I Can't Stop Me". Meanwhile, NCT will release the second part of their second album NCT 2020 Resonance Pt. 2 on Nov. 23.
