BTS, BLACKPINK, and More Take Top Spots on Billboard's World Albums Chart + See Ranking

Billboard has recently revealed the ranking for its World Albums Chart for the week of Dec. 5, and several K-Pop groups have dominated the top spots!

BTS's new album "BE" has ranked first on the World Albums Chart, plus it peaked at No. 1 on Billboard 200 for this week as well. Besides "BE," numerous albums of BTS have entered the said chart, taking over the top 15. The boy band landed on No. 3 with "Map of the Soul: 7," No. 5 with "Love Yourself: Answer," No. 7 with "Love Yourself: Her," No. 9 with "Skool Luv Affair," No. 14 with "Map of the Soul: Persona," and No. 15 with "Love Yourself: Tear."

BLACKPINK remained on the World Albums Chart with their first full-length album "THE ALBUM" at No. 2, which is already in its eighth week. NCT's second album "RESONANCE Pt. 1" climbed to No. 4 in its seventh week on the chart. TXT's third mini-album "minisode1: Blue Hour" claimed the No. 4 spot in its fourth week, while SuperM's first studio album "Super One" charted at No. 11 in its ninth week.

Lastly, "ALL OUT" by virtual girl group K/DA, which features TWICE's Jihyo, Sana, Nayeon, and Chaeyoung, as well as (G)I-DLE's Miyeon and Soyeon, came in at No. 12 for this week's World Albums Chart. The mini-album also debuted at No. 176 on the Billboard 200 chart for the week ending Nov. 21. It is the first time that K/DA has made it on the Billboard 200, following the participation of the two (G)I-DLE members.

Besides taking the top spots on the Billboard's World Albums Chart, these albums have also made an impressive feat upon its release this year. BTS's "BE" debuted at No. 1 on South Korea's Gaon Album Chart after managing to sell 2.274 million copies in its first week after its launch. "BE" also claimed the No. 1 spot on Irish Albums Chart, New Zealand Albums Chart, Norwegian Albums Chart, and Ultratop 200 Albums. It also entered other music charts in different countries.

BLACKPINK's "THE ALBUM" also made history as it peaked at No. 2 on Billboard 200, which is the highest-ranking album of any female Korean act on the chart's history, plus it is the highest-charting album by any female group since 2008. It also landed on No. 2 in the UK Charts and No. 7 in Germany's Offizielle Deutsche Charts, breaking records for female K-Pop groups. Additionally, with "THE ALBUM," BLACKPINK became the first-ever Korean "Million Seller" girl group.

Meanwhile, NCT has earned the title of "Million Seller" with "RESONANCE Pt. 1" after surpassing 1,216,098 copies as of Oct. 18 of this year. The boy group then officially sold 1.4 million album copies. The album also topped iTunes Top Albums charts in 32 countries following its release.

SuperM's "Super One" ranked second on Billboard 200 after earning 104,000 equivalent album units in the week ending on Oct. 2, while TXT's "minisode1: Blue Hour" broke the group's own record on Billboard 200 after the mini-album charted at No. 25 for the week ending Nov. 21.
