BTS just added another color to its banner after TIME Magazine named the South Korean boyband as Entertainer of the Year on Thursday, Dec. 10. The news came after J-Hope, Jin, Jimin, Jungkook, RM, V and Suga graced the cover of the American weekly publication.

ARMYS around the world could not help but rejoice over the group's newest feat, which they achieved less than a month since launching the "BE" album. TIME honored BTS for their contributions to the music industry and for how they used their talents to bring hope to their followers worldwide as the world face the perils brought by the COVID-19 pandemic.
RM, in fact, revealed to the publication that 2020 has been a special year for the group as they received both the best and the worst news. The BTS leader shared they consider the cancellation of their world tour due to the present global health crisis as the worst news of all. However, they are, also, thankful that their tracks dominated the Billboard music charts.
RM shared they still could not figure out how they earned respect and garnered millions of devoted global fanbase through the years. However, he said he feels like their popularity is "not just some kind of a syndrome" and they are proud that "these little boys from Korea are doing this."
The Bangtan Boys, also, opened up about the achievements they had in 2020. Among the group's accomplishments this year is their first three No. 1 hits in the Billboard Hot 100 chart, namely: "Dynamite," "Life Goes On" and "Savage Love." BTS, also, released three separate long plays - "BE" in November, "Map of the Soul: 7" in February and a Japanese version of "Map of the Soul: 7 - The Journey" in July. The group was even labeled as the biggest band in the world.
In August, it can be recalled that BTS released their hit single titled "Dynamite," which broke a number of records. After from dominating music charts for several weeks, the track landed the group a Grammy nomination in the Best Pop Duo/Group Performance category, making BTS the first-ever K-pop group to break into major category of the prestigious award show.
Aside from BTS, TIME Magazine, also, named LeBron James as Athlete of the Year. The magazine, however, has yet to release its 2020 Person of the Year during a special broadcast on Thursday on NBC. J-Hope, Jin, Jimin, Jungkook, RM, V and Suga are said to perform "Dynamite" live during the telecast.
BTS finally divulged 'BE' album title meaning in a Fan Q&A
BTS phoned into Sirius Hits 1 earlier this week to answer queries about the goals for 2021 and the meaning behind the title of the group's latest album.
RM shared that the "BE" album, actually, means "existence" or "to be present in the moment." The BTS leader also divulged they chose the album name since the first thing they learned when studying the English language are the "be" verbs. He, then, revealed that their next goal is to have their third Grammy win.
