Mark your calendars - Idol-turned-actress Bae Suzy will be celebrating her 10th anniversary of debut in the sweetest possible way.
According to Management Forest on Dec. 12, Suzy will be holding an "untact" concert called "Suzy: A Tempo" on Dec. 23, which will be broadcast live on Kakao M at 7 p.m. KST. "A Tempo" in music means to switch back to the original pace of the song that temporarily changed the tempo. The 10th debut-anniversary concert goes with the concept in which Suzy will sit down and take the time to reminisce memorable instances in the past.
Suzy's upcoming concert is the first time in two years that the singer will be spending a special time with her fans since her fan meeting back in 2018. It is reported that Bae has taken part in the concert planning process since this past September to achieve perfection for her 10th debut-anniversary concert. Although the idol won't meet and perform for the fans in person due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, Suzy has prepared this special event to give hope and strength to fans who have given her love and support in the past 10 years.
Kakao M will be heading the overall production of Suzy's online concert. Kakao M's music content production team, which has been planning and producing an array of music content from year-end awards ceremonies such as Melon Music Awards (MMA) and live comeback shows, is in charge of capturing the image of the "Artist Suzy" on stage.
In addition to delivering her songs, Bae will take the time to talk with her fans during the live show in which both Korean and international fans can enjoy their time with the idol. While the online concert will be exclusively broadcast in South Korea via Kakao M, overseas fans can view it via the '1theK Originals' YouTube channel.
Before becoming a trainee under JYP Entertainment, Bae Suzy first auditioned for Mnet's Superstar K in 2009 and managed to make it through the preliminary round, but she was eventually eliminated.
