IZ*ONE Dominates Gaon Charts with New Mini-Album
Jang Won-young, Sakura Miyawaki, Kim Min Ju, Kim Chae Won, Laee Chae Yeon, Nako Yabuki, Ahn Yu Jin, Kwon Eun Bi, Jo Yu Ri, Choi Ye Na, Hitomi Honda and Kang Hye Won are likely to be in high spirits lately as their latest EP continues to dominate the Gaon Weekly Charts from Dec. 6 to Dec. 12. IZ*ONE just released their new mini album called "One Reeler: Act IV" earlier this month and it is totally helping the group reach new heights in their career.
The fourth album of IZ*ONE topped the Gaon Album Chart this week, followed by "RESONANCE PT.2" by NCT, "KAI" by EXO member Kai and "Dynamite" by BTS, which placed second, third and fourth, respectively. Interestingly, the Kit version of "One Reeler: ACT IV" nabbed the fifth spot.
Not only that, IZ*ONE's "Panorama" single ranked first on this week's Gaon Digital Download Chart. Kim Ho Joong, on the other hand, impressively dominated the list as the next 12 spots belongs to all the song included in the recently released "The Classic Album," which featured his own versions of popular musical and opera songs.
The girl group, also, placed fifth in Gaon Social Chart. The legendary BLACKPINK and BTS got the first and second spots, respectively, while Im Young Woong and Yang Joon II were in the No. 3 and No. 4.
Most, if not all, fans can recall that IZ*ONE revealed the official track list on the "One Reller: Act IV" album on Nov. 30. The mini album featured a total of six songs, namely: "Mise-en-Scene," "Panorama," "Island," "Sequence," "O Sole Mio" and "Slow Journey."
They, then, launched the first music video teaser on Dec. 2, with the carrier single being made available to streaming sites and music stores on Dec. 3. The group's second teaser was released on Dec. 4. IZ*ONE graced the 2020 Mnet Asian Music Awards on Dec. 6, where they performed "Panorama."
IZ*ONE Released 'Panorama' Dance Practice Video
Meanwhile, IZ*ONE uploaded a clip of their dance practice on the group's official YouTube channel on Wednesday, Dec. 16. The video, which came just a few days after they shared a performance version of the music video, showed all the girls swaying and prancing to the tune of their latest single.
The group members donned coordinating white, red and black outfits. At the moment, IZ*ONE's dance practice video has garnered a total of 609,125 views and more than 71,000 likes.
For starters, IZ*ONE, managed by Swing Entertainment and Off the Record, was formed through the reality television competition show called "Produce 48." The South Korean-Japanese girl group was launched on Oct. 29, 2018, alongside the release of Color*IZ.
The first extended play album of IZ*ONE was victorious after it sold, more or less, 225,000 units. It even peaked at No. 2 on the Gaon Album Chart and was included in the Billboard World Albums.
