Minzy's recent photos, which she uploaded via her personal Instagram account, have caused people to say various opinions about her.
Since setting up her own company called MZ Entertainment and becoming its chief executive officer, Minzy has become more radiant and powerful. However, on Dec. 16, the former 2NE1 member posted two pictures on her Instagram account that suddenly caused controversy.
Sporting a colorful coat with a black top and pants, Minzy flaunted her mesmerizing visuals in the two images. The idol was, in fact, praised for her sense of fashion. However, netizens noticed something strange in the shots. While the photos seem okay for many fans, some netizens believe that the singer's face looks odd as according to them it seemed like an inverted triangle because of an overly pointed chin.
Not to mention, some accused Minzy of having undergone plastic surgery that resulted in her face being abnormally deformed. Meanwhile, some people think that the K-pop star used a photo application that made her face look like what is shown in the images. On the other hand, Minzy's face seems fine in her latest upload on Instagram. In other news, Minzy is set to take part in the "Merry Christmas~Baking with MINZY," which will be held through a livestream via the "MINZY TV" YouTube channel. The event is scheduled to take place on Dec. 23 at 8 p.m. KST. Fans will be able to see the idol bake cookies at home.
Moreover, the former 2NE1 member has released the Tagalog version of her song "Lovely" on Nov. 20 after signing an exclusive contract with Viva Entertainment who will manage her musical activities in the Philippines. The track marked her debut as a solo artist in the country.
"Lovely" is originally an English track that was launched this past May. The single becomes her first release as an independent artist after settling the legal dispute with her previous management agency Music Works last April. She also left the company in that same month. Minzy has been an artist in the said company since 2016. Following her departure from Music Works, she founded her own agency, MZ Entertainment.
Because of her outstanding skills and captivating stage presence, Minzy was able to make herself well-known in the entertainment industry in South Korea. Often dubbed as the "Queen of Dance" or "Dancing Machine," the artist first became famous when she made her debut as a member of the legendary girl group named 2NE1 under YG Entertainment. Other members included current solo artists CL, Park Bom, and Sandara Park, who also started her career in the Philippines.
Minzy parted ways with YG Entertainment in April 2016 and joined Music Works, a subsidiary label of CJ E&M. In April 2017, the artist made her solo debut with the extended play titled "Minzy Work 01. 'Uno'," which featured the title track "Ninano." The EP entered the Billboard World Albums Chart, claiming the No. 2 spot. Then, in December 2018, Minzy released her very first English-language solo track "All of You Say."
