Some of the biggest names in the K-Pop industry gathered on Friday, Dec. 18, for the 2020 KBS Song Festival.

KBS World made sure to treat its avid viewers and followers, especially during these challenging times, thru the 2020 KBS Song Festival. The network previously stated that the music event would take place sans a live audience to maintain everyone's safety amid the COVID-19 pandemic.

KBS World named the best K-Pop acts in 2020

Before the program proper, livestream host Kyu Choi shared the annual KBS World survey results. TREASURE was proclaimed as the Rookie Group of the Year, while BLACKPINK was named the Girl Group of the Year. For their part, BTS ranked the highest in three categories, namely: Artist of the Year, Boy Group of the Year, and Song of the Year for their hit single titled "Dynamite."

BTS was the first K-Pop act to walk on the red carpet and pose on a photo wall. Suga, who is currently recovering from shoulder surgery, is noticeably absent during the event. Jungkook, V, Jimin, Jin, J-Hope and RM donned black masks as part of the event's protocols.

ENHYPEN came in next, followed by Aespa, MOMOLAND, NU'EST, Stray Kids, THE BOYZ, MAMAMOO, GFRIEND, ASTRO, IZ*ONE, NCT,(G)I-DLE, Oh My Girl, ITZY, and TOMORROW X TOGETHER.

Here are the 2020 KBS Song Festival Part 1 highlights

TWICE opened the prestigious ceremony by performing their hit single "SIGNAL." The girls, who wore their cute plaid top and skirts, were all smiles as they dance to the tune of their popular song.

ENHYPEN took the center stage next singing their "Given-Taken." During their performance, Park Sung Hoon, Ni Ki, Sunoo, Jungwon, Heeseung, Jake, and Jay donned an all-white suit and a pair of black shoes.

The stage was on fire when Aespa stepped up to perform their latest single, "BLACK MAMBA." Ningning, KARINA, WINTER, and GISELLE looked so gorgeous in their glittery and furry outfits.

ITZY showed swag and angst when they performed their song "WANNABE" on the 2020 KBS Song Festival stage. Ryujin, Yeji, Lia, Chaeryeong, and Yuna looked stunning in their all-white ensembles. They completed their look with elegant silver necklaces.

TOMORROW X TOGETHER, on the other hand, clearly gave their all when they performed one of their famous songs, "Blue Hour." Soobin, Yeonjun, Huening Kai, Taehyun, and Beomgyu looked so regal in their all-black outfits.

The stage was set on fire again when MOMOLAND took the spotlight and performed their "Ready or Not" song. All the girls showed off their singing and dancing prowess in their all-white outfits.

In the "Special Stage" segment, some members of MONSTA X no competition, Stray Kids, and NCT, were featured. NCT members performed "Dragon" while Stray Kids and MONSTA X members sang "Mischief" and "No Competition," respectively.

THE BOYZ, then, dominated the stage with their epic dance number. Juyeon, Sun Woo, Hur Hyunjun, Hyun Jae, Kevin, Eric Son, Young Hoon, Ju Hak Nyeon, Q, New, Sangyeon, and Jacob performed their song "The Stealer" with their all-black ensembles.

After the "REVEAL" singers, IZ*ONE, took the stage and sang their trending "Panorama" song. Jang Won Young, Sakura Miyawaki, Kim Min-Ju, Kim Chae Won, Lee Chae Yeon, Nako Yanuki, Ahn Yu Jin, Kwon Eun Bi, Jo Yu Ri, Choi Ye Na, Hitomi Honda, and Kang Hye Won looked so stunning in their matching white and black outfits.

Jessi put the first part of the program to a close when she performed her "NUNU NANA" song with GOT7 member Jackson Wang. The duo's hot and sultry dance moves are enough to put the stage on fire.
