K-Pop Boy Group A.C.E Signs with Asian Agent for US Management, Global Strategy

Five-piece K-Pop group A.C.E gears up for world domination by signing with creative talent agency Asian Agent for its US management.

The newly-signed partnership between the boy band, its talent management label Beat Interactive, and the global talent house is set to bring A.C.E's unique brand of music to the west through localized promotion and strategic partnerships with international brands. A.C.E now follows Asian Agent talents such as Cube Entertainment's (G)I-dle and YG Entertainment's BLACKPINK.

In a report from Billboard, A.C.E and Beat Interactive first met Asian Agent in Los Angeles last February, when the group performed at the 2020 Academy Awards - better known as the Oscars - afterparty following the "Parasite" director Bong Joon-Ho's historic best picture win.

This new partnership sets the boy group into the 2021 fastlane, with reports saying that music and fashion endorsements are already set for the group and its members Jun, Donghun, Wow, Chan, and Byeongkwan.

"We're excited and inspired for this next chapter of our careers" A.C.E said in a statement. "Not only to pursue our dreams as a group, but to hopefully reach the dreams and expectations so many of our global fans have for us."

Danny Lee, Asian Agent's LA-based chief agent, shared that he has been "delighted" to work on expanding the group's "international footprint." He added that he is specifically admiring A.C.E's live vocals and experience in street dancing.

"It's great to see how far they've come as a boutique agency act-it feels like a family with them. A.C.E has really diversified their sound and style," Lee added in a statement. He cited the group's singles, such as their debut "Cactus" and "Callin," having EDM-hardstyle productions. Lee added: "Excited to see where they take their creativity next!"

Beat Interactive's head director Danny JY Lee said: "The great thing about working with Asian Agent is that we can plan and implement international strategies thoroughly. They are a good partner who can communicate quickly and share a high passion as we've seen in just the few months we've worked together that's led to an increased amount of international media attention, and exciting new musical and promotional opportunities."

In the middle of the pandemic, Beat Interactive's CEO and founder Kim Hye Im stressed the importance of K-Pop and investing in its artists. "K-pop artists' musical activities and outside roles are more important than ever to overcome this difficult situation with a sense of mission." She also noted the importance of giving fans courage and hope in the middle of these challenging times, further noting that more opportunities have opened for their company in the middle of the pandemic, even with travel restrictions in place.

"While local partners can play a role in linking artists and fans as messengers, partners should be able to understand the relationship between artists and fans to carry out realistic and practical projects above all. Asian Agent is a partner who can play this role as A.C.E and Beat Interactive move forward to pursue larger, global ambitions," the Beat Interactive founder added.
