BLACKPINK Rosé is the New Face of YSL Beauty

VOGUE Korea recently revealed that BLACKPINK member Rosé is the new muse of YSL Beauty!

Earlier in June of this year, it was announced that Rosé was Yves Saint Laurent's newest global brand ambassador. This quite an amazing milestone; not only is Rosé the first K-pop idol to become the brand's global brand ambassador, but she is also Yves Saint Laurent's first-ever global ambassador since the fashion house was founded 459 years ago.

Along with the announcement, the idol became their main model for the fashion house's Fall 2020 Collection. Her announcement as the brand's first brand ambassador was highly successful. When Yves Saint Laurent dropped her first campaign video, it instantly started racking up hundreds of thousands of views. In July, iPrice Group, a Southeast Asian price comparison site, revealed that people's interest in the brand has skyrocketed worldwide, with some countries even seeing a 1,000 percent increase in interest in the brand.

Seeing how successful she is as Yves Saint Laurent's global brand ambassador, it is not shocking that the brand decided to expand their work with her. On Tuesday, Dec. 22, VOGUE Korea uploaded a teaser featuring Rosé, announcing her as the newest YSL Beauty muse. This sector of the brand focuses on make-up, perfume, skincare, cosmetics, and more.

Though the video only showed a silhouette of Rosé, fans were still able to see a glimpse of her face and her beautiful visuals. Additionally, VOGUE Korea made sure to tag Rosé in their post, further solidifying Yves Saint Laurent's relationship with the idol. Fans already had a suspicion that something was coming following the numerous Yves Saint Laurent themed posts the idol has been sharing. Since the second week of Nov., Rosé has been sharing photos of her with Yves Saint Laurent parcels to her Instagram account and Instagram Stories and photos from her last photoshoot with the brand. In one particular post, Rosé made sure to tag YSL Beauty, which immediately piqued people's interest.

Additionally, a few weeks ago, the global beauty director for YSL Beauty and the official YSL Beauty account had liked a photo of the BLACKPINK member that was shared to Anthony Vaccarello's Instagram account. Anthony Vaccarello is Yves Saint Laurent's artistic, creative, and image director.

Rosé's official campaign for YSL Beauty will drop on Jan. 4, 2021. Fans are already excitedly waiting for the campaign to drop, with many speculating that the campaign reveal could possibly coincide with her upcoming solo debut. Back in Oct., YG Entertainment announced that Rosé would be making her solo debut in 2020, but it appears that her debut was delayed so that they had more time to refine her music.

Congratulations on becoming the new face of YSL Beauty, Rosé!

On top of being the global brand ambassador of Yves Saint Laurent and the muse of YSL Beauty, Rosé, alongside member Jisoo, became endorsement models for South Korean cosmetics brand Kiss Me in 2018. In Oct. 2018, Rosé was selected to be the latest promotional model for Perfect World Entertainment MMORPG "Perfect World Mobile".
