The global group NCT ascends as "double million-seller" with their second studio album, "RESONANCE Pt. 1 and 2," and even surpassed 5.11 million total album sales this year!

On Dec. 23, Wednesday, Neo Culture Technology, or prominently known as NCT, has recorded more than 5,117,000 total album sales in 2020.

In addition to this, SM Entertainment, the agency of the group also revealed on NCT's official social media accounts that the global group which is currently composed of 23 members achieved the title of a double million-seller, with their second studio album 'NCT 2020 RESONANCE.'

NCT Achieved "Double Million-Seller" title + Recorded 5.11 million with cumulative album sales

From this year's albums released by NCT including its sub-units NCT 127, NCT DREAM, and WayV, to their second full-length album, the combined sales of the 2020 albums released by all groups reached a total of 5,117,020 copies (as of December 22), proving its explosive growth and powerful record power.

In particular, NCT released its second studio album with two parts, in which "RESONANCE Pt" was first dropped last October.
Upon release, the album recorded 1,463,798 million album copies, earning the title for a million-seller. Meanwhile, "RESONANCE Pt. 2" released in November, and maintaining their tremendous influence, NCT recorded 1,217,122 million album copies, garnering a total of 2,680,920 million copies for their second full-length album alone, making them "Double Million-sellers."

On the other hand, this year was tough for the K-pop industry nevertheless, NCT showcased great results with their released albums, evidences how they are becoming a K-pop giant among third-generation groups.

On March, its sub-unit NCT 127 also sold 1,481,039 million copies with its second full-length album "NCT #127 Neo Zone", while NCT DREAM's album "Reload" released in April recorded 674,928 copies. Moreover, NCT's Chinese sub-unit WayV's first full-length album "Awaken the World" released in June, amassed, 280,133 album copies.

NCT to Make Global Fans' Holidays More Special with "Beyond LIVE" Concert

Moving on, NCT will host "Beyond LIVE - NCT: RESONANCE 'Global Wave'" on Naver V LIVE's Beyond LIVE channel at 3 p.m. on December 27.

It is expected that the group will show enthusiastic performances with their released tracks from 2016 up-to-date, under the concept of "The whole world will be connected as one through RESONANCE."

With the help of AR and graphics technology introduced by SM Entertainment, it is expected to bring fans and supporters closer to the members despite meeting virtually.

It is the first time in two years that NCT will perform solo as a group since the "NCT 2018 Fan Party" in 2018, raising global fans' expectations. Furthermore, as NCT has emerged as a global trend due to its steep growth in two years, expectations are high on what performance will stimulate fans' hearts.
